  1. Oh it will, they won't be coming from the EU now. Just other countries. Which I'm sure they find delightful.
  2. Wow, another person that immediately says 'yeah but' then brings up Tories. I've got news for you kiddo, I'm not a Tory. You can assume one thing and one thing alone; I think Corbyn is a crap politician.
  3. A bad workman always blames his tools. A crap politician always blames the media. I very much enjoyed Corbyn's campaign manager on Newsnight yesterday completely fail to identify the elite and the establishment. It was almost like he had no idea what he was talking about.
  4. Can you tell us where and when the media equivalent of the Apalachin meeting took place to conspire against Jeremy Corbyn?
  5. Why, what business is it of yours? I have anyway, on another thread. I don't follow political parties like a football team. Don't make the mistake of thinking you know anything about me just because I view the current Labour leader as a disaster. Like many others do. Makes you look like a plonker.
  6. Oh look, here's another person that thinks not liking Corbyn makes someone a Tory. There are more than two parties in this country you know.
  7. Yes. Let's see how he does when he's not in front of his Islington Posse and whooping Momentum sycophants shall we? ---------- Post added 20-04-2017 at 20:19 ---------- I've said it before, I will say it again. Not liking Corbyn does not make one a Tory. Saying 'yeah but....' to me doesn't wash. I'm not a Tory. Sorry. If that's all you've got you ain't got lots.
  8. Corbyn should refuse. Then there would be a space for someone who has a clue to speak for Labour. He appeared to have had a lovely day today....in front of an entirely partisan crowd mind.
  9. Can open, worms everywhere. How would you describe and enforce a cap, with those exceptions, if not having the cap in the first place isn't the answer? I'd wager, not easily. As Davidson discovered. Further discussion would be off the thread topic so let's agree to disagree.
  10. In the UK the winner usually has the plularity. Some people thought it odd Trump won an election but got fewer votes. It can happen here too. In fact I think it's happened the same number of times in the UK as it has the US. A quirk of both systems.
  11. What, capping the benefit to two children unless subsequent children are conceived during a rape? Where did Davidson say she supports women having to discuss private matters with staff at the DWP? I think you are misrepresenting her stance on an issue always likely to provoke hostility. If tax credits are to be capped at two children how would you enforce it? It's fine if you don't think there should be a cap. That is the easy answer though. It would be easy for her to say that herself. But what if she agrees there should be a cap, barring children resulting from rape and other exceptional circumstances? How can you describe and enforce such a policy without angering someone? I'd wager, not easily.
  12. You might not like me. I am the floating voter of which Carlinate spoke. I don't treat politics like a football team and blindly follow one party through thick and thin. Further to my post above, if Mogg was standing as my local MP I'd probably vote for him. And I was a remainer. At least I'd know I was getting someone intelligent. Makes much more sense that voting for someone like Diane Abbott who is absolutely hopeless in every single way. Thanks anyway though
  13. My opinion on this is as valuable and as worthless as everyone else's. I have only ever been impressed by two politicians: One is Jacob Rees Mogg. He has an almost total recall of government policy, history, facts and figures and never seems flustered or confused. And Frank Field, who, to me at least, was genuine. I think Ruth Davidson and Andy Burnham are likeable. I liked Vince Cable when he was around. And the late Charles Kennedy was a good egg. Otherwise.....meh.
  14. Was in response to this part of the post. ---------- Post added 19-04-2017 at 23:55 ---------- Yup, they seem wholly inept when it comes to the economy. I'm rather worried about criticising them now though because I just get Tory policy thrown back at me. Must one be a Tory to not like Labour at present? I can't be the only person who isn't?
  15. A few weeks tops. Any longer and someone screwed up.
