  1. Had an account with http://www.1host.com for about nine years. And another with http://www.unitedhosting.co.uk for about two years. Both have absolutely outstanding reliability and support. And the price ain't bad either!
  2. My grandparents lived in Woodhouse and I have some very hazy recollection of a West End Club coach trip to (I think) Cleethorpes with my grandmother and a few of her friends. As a young child I used to be "coerced" in to taking part in the Whit Walks around the village. What's Woodhouse like these days?
  3. Just a quick word of caution - unlimited might not mean (literally) unlimited. They'll probably have a "fair use" clause tucked away somewhere and bash you over the head if they feel like invoking it. Check the small print.......
  4. Bought one of these thingies a couple of weeks ago and was a tad sceptical as I used it for the first time. No need - it's a blinding bit of kit (so far). Quite fast and reliable. Obviously varies according to location though even the GPRS was tolerable the other day when I was somewhere "fairly remote." For £15 a month it's good value for those times you're somewhere without wireless. Even using it as I type this post.
  5. They have to..........."it's the law." I do hope that the removal of the premium rate is a sign that VM are getting their act together. Now, if they can find a few people (in India or wherever) to put on the 'phone who know what they are talking about, that'd be pretty impressive too.
  6. Rather pleased to get an email from Virgin Media saying that they are (finally) going to drop the scandalous premium rate 'phone charge for technical support. From 1 June it's free from a Virgin Media 'phone or a local rate number from any other 'phone. Good news indeed.
  7. Have a "gander" at this: http://www.environment-agency.gov.uk/hiflowsuk/stations/27025/
  8. This might be the answer: http://iwantoneofthose.com/usb-sim-card-reader/index.html I have one and it works a treat.
  9. I can recommend Sunbelt Personal Firewall - very good and you can bag it for the equivalent of about a fiver 'cos it's on offer. See http://www.sunbelt-software.com/Home-Home-Office/Sunbelt-Personal-Firewall/
  10. Article marketing can be very effective in getting both backlinks and traffic to your site(s). Basically - write a few hundred words related to the subject matter of your site, include a resource box at the end with a link to your site, submit to it ezinearticles.com and away you go.... Then write another, and another, and another etc.
  11. Whitesnake stopped being a "proper" band the second Coversale went MTV. It all started to go wrong after Saints and Sinners. Just my opinion of course............!
  12. Excellent pic - just how I remember the old place.
  13. The old Oak House was indeed a "class" chip shop. Fall out of the Turf at chucking out time and end the evening with a fine helping of fish and chips. Used to be a chip shop in Woodhouse almost on a par - next to a bookies. Mannings I think it was. Might still be. Who knows....
  14. Hi, Found this at http://www.outfront.net/tutorials_02/adv_tech/mailto.htm 2. Send to Multiple Recipients Mail can be sent to additional recipients either as carbon copies (cc) or blind carbon copies (bcc). This is done in a similar way, by placing '[email protected]' after the initial address. So the link looks like this: <a href="mailto:[email protected][email protected]">Email Us</a> cc can simply be replaced by bcc if you wish to send blind carbon copies. This can be very useful if you have links on pages with different subjects. You might have the email on each page go to the appropriate person in a company but with a copy of all mails sent to a central address also. Was this what you're looking for?
  15. I kinda like their Triumph Of Steel "opus." Cheesy, very cheesy but at the same time strangley enjoyable. Is "Ross The Boss" still in Manowar? An obscure one about "Ross" - the album he did with Shakin' Street about 30 years ago or so was first rate. Anyone remember it.....?
