Let's be real here. They'd cheer one of Bono's rants at Glastonbury.

That's why I was careful in my choice of using 'shouldnt' over 'would'nt'

If you've notified the dvla that the vehicle has been sold you shouldn't be getting fines through your door.

To use this latest analogy It isn't a journey, we aren't going anywhere, we're all staying here on this side of the road to see if things can be done a little differently. Who knows, maybe its the silly brexiters keeping everyone else from danger!

It's subjective isn't it. As I've already said, the deal is viewed as a good one by some EU nationals and not so by others. I can't influence the decision but I hope to god you all get to stay and the terms are favourable. I work with a zillion different nationalities and it's hellish (in a good way)

I've not made myself clear. I think if we are going to give them full rights, if that is the problem, then we should do it whether they intend to follow suit or not. I thought the initial concern was that they would not be granted the right to stay, it has moved on from that I suppose. It has been greeted by many EU nationals that the current offer is a good one so maybe it's the people that it doesn't directly affect that feel they have to shout loudest. Just a thought, feel free to crucify

Saw something near Lindrick golf course on the way to Lincoln. There was one police car mid morning and when we came back there were people kitted out in protective suits milling around a half dozen or so blue plastic containers.

All I know is that it's early in negotiations and whilst it would be nice that she made the gesture regardless of knowing that it would be reciprocated with our own citizens there is a lot of pressure from major donors of the leave campaign and just about every quarter of society for her to do the right thing so the position could change. Until anything is finalised, agreed, signed off I see no reason to dwell on it.

Oh right, I didn't know we planned to treat them differently.

Strange you should ask only on TV earlier, reaction from migrants from Poland also viewed it as a good deal! ---------- Post added 23-06-2017 at 22:24 ---------- My apologies, I must have been catatonic at that stage.

I meant in respect of the 3 million EU residents not how petty negotiations may get.

Has anyone clarified what the EU are after. It's ok saying no not good enough but what is it they are looking for exactly, have they said?
-
Yeah haven't bothered watching it, I think people panic uneccessarily.

Just watch that one half a dozen times.

Think of it as a lunch break from the onslaught of political threads.

Shouldn't that be thank you seeing as you're directing it at someone?

Britain is as relevant or irrelevant as any of the 50 or so countries that signed the charter, and the work it does extends beyond trying to keep peace and don't forget, many EU countries share the same peacekeeping responsibilities under the UN flag.

The Office of National Statistics support your comment with slightly less than half of 75 year olds using the internet in 2016. -
I don't believe much of the opposing argument either but it does make for entertainment early morning.

Just keep watching the space. There's more to these negotiations than the EU is willing to let on. They posture well

Is anyone proud to be British these days?

20 years ago I felt pretty much the same. Perhaps we confuse pride with patriotism. I'd say I was patriotic. ---------- Post added 20-06-2017 at 14:27 ---------- The two are not the same though not by any stretch.
