Id say it was deffinately the memory. Cheap memory develops faults, run memtest and see if it picks anything up. If that fails THEN test the psu.

Ah forgot to mention. when trying to end the process. i get the standard nag screen. Kindly explaining that it may not be safe to end the process, If its critical to the system, why would it let me even attempt to end it via task manager? When i do end it, it pops back up again in a few seconds.

I have opened up my task manager just now and discovered something that is a little worrying.
