  1. Farage unlike Cameron had no authority. Gisela Stuart the co chair of the leave campaign also had no authority, when she said, if she was in charge, then she would give £350 million a week to the NHS. The people decided to leave the EU, not Farage.
  2. The idea is to have more actual driving during the test. Too much time is wasted in going to a quiet road, where a three point turn can be carried out at the moment.
  3. Feel free to to give details of all your driving test passes and what they entitle you to drive. Did you pass them all first time?
  4. How long ago, is it since you passed your driving test?
  5. On the breakfast news, a spokesman said the driver will not be asked to set the Sat Nav, just follow the directions. Therefore, for part of the test, the Sat Nav will give the driver instructions, instead of the examiner. I don't understand why anyone can have a problem with this change to the driving test, because it is adding realism to the test. I remember, when I took my test the examiner sent a telegraph when he was about to ask me to do an emergency stop, by the way he looked around to make sure there were no vehicles any where near me , before he hit the windscreen with his clip board.
  6. It looks that way to me also. There are also double yellow lines in front of the 'driveway' The double yellow lines appear to be very close to the back of the car. I didn't think the highways authority painted yellow lines in front of approved driveways. Just read nikki's post. The picture does not relate to the story. Seems a daft stock picture to choose.
  7. On the Breakfast program this morning a spokesman said less time will be spent on the quiet backstreets looking for a place to do a three point turn and more time will be spent driving on the busier roads. Also it said part of the test will involve driving into a car parking space and then reversing out. It sounded like more real factors were being tested to me.
  8. I wouldn't describe where the car is parked in the picture to be a driveway. However, there is something wrong, if the authorities can't help council tax paying residents, remove cars parked on residential land without permission.
  9. The decision is not ridiculous. The driving test regular, should be altered to reflect the modern driving environment. Sat Navs are standard features in many new cars nowadays.
  10. The problem with the UN being the fist stop, is Russia has a veto and has used it eight times to protect the Assad regime.
  11. On the BBC news, Jeremy Bowen said Assad looked far from confident. Jeremy Bowen met and interviewed Assad two years ago and thinks he now has doubts about his own future. ---------- Post added 13-04-2017 at 19:03 ---------- I believe the Western powers.
  12. Assad is claiming the chemical attack was fabricated and the images of the aftermath, shown around the World are fake.
  13. Attack? I don't believe it is fair to blame leave voters for the actions of football hooligans in Spain. How that view, can be interpreted as the opinions of solely leave voters, is beyond me.
  14. I have no doubt the majority of both remain and leave voters are good people. I have no doubt the majority of remain voters are more like me, than you and accept the referendum result and hope things work out well for us all. I have no doubt the vast majority of remain voters, do not share your own personal views and immaturity traits.
  15. They will have chanted crap relating to whatever was making the news in those days. I don't need to get over anything. I voted to remain in the EU and accepted the result the next day. I don't insult those who voted the opposite to me.
  16. You are being a fool, by implying the majority who voted for Brexit have the same mindset as drunken English football hooligans, disgracing their country.
  17. Were there no English football hooligans, misbehaving in Europe before Brexit?
  18. Vote Labour in the 2020 General Election and hope Gisela Stuart is either the new Prime Minister or Chancellor, if you wish for an extra £350 million a week to be spent on the NHS. "I'd rather that we control how to spend that money, and if I had that control I would spend it on the NHS." *said *Gisela Stuart, co-chair of Vote Leave. * http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politic...endum-36040060 _______
  19. Wouldn't be any need for anyone thinking of moving to Germany either. The new 5 deutsche mark plastic note, would feature that polite Mr Hitler.
  20. Grass not guaranteed to be greener in Germany. We all need to work together, it is not good to be divided. Stick with it, things will work out fine.
  21. Is it not called a lottery, because there is no guarantee a player will win. Chances are a player will lose, but there can be no guarantee of that outcome.
  22. Are not, export embargoes and sanctions, the way products and materials are judged to be appropriate, to trade with other nations?
  23. Because is not a reason. What do you mean by backsliding?
