  1. The DUP were the largest party in the Northern Ireland Assembly when it last sat. The DUP are the largest party from Northern Ireland who sit in the Westminster Parliament. The DUP were the only political party who have MPs in the Westminister Parliament who campaigned for all of the UK to leave the EU before the democratic EU Referendum vote. The plan by the Boris led Government respects the Belfast agreement. The support of the DUP is very important if Parliament are going to vote in favour of a new or amended Withdrawal Agreement to avoid a no-deal exit from the EU on 31st October.
  2. The positive politicians hope that the Stormont Assemble with sit again sooner rather than later. That is funny. I seem to remember Boris stating he will do whatever it takes to implement the democratic EU referendum result.
  3. Boris hasn't got a deal, it's only a plan. The big difference between Theresa May's deal and Boris' proposal is that the DUP support his proposal. The proposal will not cut Northern Ireland adrift because they won't be in the Customs Union and the Stormont Assembly will have a say about future arrangements.
  4. It's not a deal, it is just a plan to get changes to the Withdrawal Agreement on offer regarding the backstop to avoid a no-deal exit on 31st October. Boris is trying to do what he stated he would do before he became Prime Minister.
  5. Moving on the proposal by Boris and his Government is a reasonable compromise. Boris deserves huge credit for coming up with a plan that has the support of the DUP. The government has published its Brexit proposals to the EU, including plans to replace the Irish backstop. The plan would see Northern Ireland essentially stay in the European single market for goods, but leave the customs union. The Northern Ireland Assembly would have to approve the arrangements first and be able to vote every four years on whether to keep them. The European Commission says it will "examine [the proposals] objectively". Speaking at the Conservative Party conference, Mr Johnson said the only alternative to his plan was no-deal. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-49909309
  6. I haven't thrown any insinuations towards anyone or you personally. You're looking to have a personal argument with me but I have no desire to engage with you and I have politely pointed out forum rules or guide lines to you. I am sorry you have a problem with me because I am a honest remain voter who respects democracy and now supports our country leaving the EU on 31st October with or without a deal. Don't shoot the messenger. I have only explained the forum rules or guidelines to you and the other poster. Have you made that donation to the Sheffield Children's Hospital yet?
  7. It's against forum rules or guidelines for me to make comments about whether I believe individual members are dishonest. I have already explained that to you. Can't remember the circumstances why I accused you of lying. I shouldn't have accused you of lying because I have now learnt that is against forum rules or guidelines. If you want to make a donation to Sheffield Children's Hospital then make a donation because I have no desire to stop you making a donation to such a good worthy cause.
  8. The MPs voted overwhelmingly in favour of holding the 2016 EU Referendum vote which handed over the decision of whether our country remained or left the EU to the UK people. The MPs also overwhelmingly voted in favour of triggering Article 50 which made leaving the EU without a deal on the 29th March the legal default position. If the MPs didn't want the people decide whether our country remained or left the EU or for our country to the leave the EU without a deal then the majority of MPs should have voted against holding the 2016 EU referendum vote and against triggering Article 50. What the MPs have done is backslided and I have no respect for backsliders. Don't bother citing Parliamentary democracy for an excuse to block the democratic wishes of the people who voted to leave the EU on 23rd June 2016 because the backsliding MPs have made a mockery of UK democracy.
  9. I think it's against forum rules or guide lines to accuse members of lying because that is a personal attack so you need to be careful or you might be in trouble with the forum moderators. Yes, I admit I am now a strong believer in our country leaving the EU , but not because that was the way I voted but because I strongly believe in democracy. If remain had won the EU referendum vote , then I would have expected our country to remain 100% in the EU and it 's only fair that leave voters who were on the winning side of the binary choice should expect our country to 100% leave the EU.
  10. I've made no accusations towards anyone. I suggest you read comments and posts more carefully. I voted to remain in the EU and it is because I respect democracy that I support our country leaving the EU and the democratic 2016 EU referendum result being implemented on 31st October with or with a deal.
  11. I care because I respect democracy. If the 2016 EU referendum result is not implemented then that will be the death of democracy in the UK. Your bias viewpoint makes you want to believe that the 2016 EU referendum result didn't or doesn't reflect the wishes of the population.
  12. The democratic 2016 EU referendum vote which was the largest democratic vote in UK history says otherwise. (don't bother telling me again about the people who didn't vote or were not eligible to vote) The problem is that a majority of MPs wanted the UK to remain in the EU and far too many of them still don't respect the 2016 EU referendum vote that they overwhelmingly authorised to happen and intend to continue to block the implementation of the democratic result. I make no comments about individual members honesty because If I do then the post is likely to be deleted by the moderators.
  13. What Tosh. It's the MPs in Parliament who have sabotaged the negotiations by attempting to take no-deal of the table. While ever the EU believe the MPs and Supreme Court can block our country leaving the EU they have no incentive to consider any new deal whether it's a good or bad plan with the UK Government led by Boris. At the end of the day the EU want the UK to remain in the EU and they are being helped by our dishonest MPs who don't respect the democratic 2016 EU referendum result. Honest remain and leave voters know who to blame for the current mess and that is not Boris.
  14. A no-deal or WTO rules has always been a possible consequence of the democratic UK people voting to leave the EU. The reason I voted to remain in the EU was because I hadn't been convinced before June 23rd 2016 that I and my family would be any better by our country leaving the EU. I personally would have preferred our country remained in a reformed EU but that option wasn't on the ballot paper. When there is a binary choice on a ballot paper the voter has to decide which choice suits them best or is most likely to suit them best. It made sense for any voter no sure whether leaving the EU is good or bad that didn't have strong other reasons for our country to leave the EU to vote to remain like I did. However, the majority chose the option leaving the EU and that is why I support our country leaving the EU and the democratic EU referendum result being implemented whether it is by a negotiated deal or by no-deal.
  15. I know if I want a job doing that job is completed quicker and more smoothly when I employ the services of someone who wants to and is interested in doing the job I want doing. Carry on ignoring the truth about why the democratic 2016 EU referendum result hasn't been implemented yet. A no-deal is the default legal position. No MPs voted for a no-deal because they voted to either accept or reject Theresa May's Withdrawal Agreement. A honest MP will have voted in favour of Theresa May's agreement if they honestly believe that choice is better than a no-deal. If a honest MPs thought a no-deal is better than Theresa May's agreement they will have voted against her agreement. The problem with our Parliament is there are too many dishonest MPs who don't respect democracy or respect the terms of Article 50 they overwhelmingly voted in favour of triggering otherwise our country would have left the EU on 29th March.
  16. It's because the MPs in Parliament backslided and moved the goalposts away from the position of a no-deal being the default legal position which they passed into law when they overwhelmingly voted in favour of triggering Article 50. We should have left on 29th March either with Theresa May's Withdrawal Agreement or a no-deal. Two years after Article 50 was triggered is ample to time to sort out the situation if Parliament didn't have so many MPs that didn't seek to block the implementation of the democratic 2016 EU referendum result. Time has never been the problem because anti-democratic MPs are the real problem.
  17. That's rather a bias view. The younger demographic should count their lucky stars they live in such a rich country as the UK regardless of whether the democratic EU referendum result is implemented.
  18. There hasn't been another referendum yet because both the Tory Party and the Labour Party stated in their 2017 General Election manifestos that they would implement the democratic 2016 EU referendum result. In my opinion, it's not nice to wish the older demographic to hurry up and move on.
  19. It's shameful to try and put the blame on leave voters because they were the winners of the democratic 2016 EU referendum vote. The majority who voted chose the leave option out of the binary choice. How can a binary choice on a ballot paper be anti-democratic? The turmoil has been caused by remain voters who don't respect the democratic binary choice, who also have no respect for their own people's wishes that made the other binary choice on the ballot paper. Until our country leaves the EU the turmoil will continue.
  20. The only thing I would tell Bedforshire Police is to spend more time investigating real crimes and arresting real criminals. As stated there is no excuse for fake death threats. Leave voters have the moral high ground because they were on the winning side of the 2016 EU referendum result. I stated over a year ago that martial law should be introduced if necessary to implement the democratic 2016 EU referendum result and nothing has made me change my mind since about that prospect. In a country that has large numbers of MPs who don't respect democracy there shouldn't be any complaints if tanks are brought onto the streets to bring back order.
  21. They are not real threats to kill because the people making these threats are idiots hiding behind keyboards. The whole death threats has been exaggerated just like everything has been by the people who don't respect the 2016 democratic EU referendum result and seek to block the implementation. The behaviour by both sides has been bad in Parliament especially by some of the women MPs who act like fishwives. Leave voters are entitled to feel angry about being cheated out of their democratic wish but there is not excuse for making any kind of threat to kill whether real or not.
  22. The aim of any business is to make a profit. Supply and demand are what it needed to understand for anyone big or small when running a business.
  23. The UK Government have made the right decision by not providing funds to tide Thomas Cook over the winter. It's not a surprise Spanish and Turkish Governments were keen not to see a company that provides their countries with so many holidaymakers go bust.
  24. I don't think people who voted remain are snowflakes and are weak. I voted to remain. The people who are snowflakes, weak and shameful are those who don't respect the democratic decision the majority made and seek to cheat the majority of their own people out of their democratic choice. I'd rather not share an air raid shelter with people who have no pride for their own country and don't respect democracy. It's truly frightening you consider a person who respects the democratic wishes of the majority as deranged. It's even more frightening the number of people who live in Britain in 2019 that don't respect democracy or respect the wishes of their own people who voted the opposite way to themselves.
  25. Because the people of Britain had acclaim and more pride in their own country then. There were no snowflakes who didn't respect democracy and twenty four hour news channels or the internet were not around to spread discontent amongst the weak. It's absolutely shameful that Britain hasn't pulled together after June 23rd 2016 in order to make the best out of a situation and a new path the democratic British people chose to go down.
