  3. i can see your point willman, trades people on My Builder - Rated People are checked, (Tradesmen) who advertise on S/F could be anybody, if they had to include a registration number or, an organisation they belong too included in there post, it would save some people alot of grief, i am not talking about gardeners and the like i am talking Electricians, Gas fitters, etc.
  4. Yes if there is a next time, i will ask them to bring there indentures with them.
  5. Personally i would not knowingly employ anybody that has not got the necessary qualifications and, in a trade organisation, the Electrician's who i employed assured me that they was nics (NICEIC) registered and could also provide a part P building regulation certificate. of which i stipulated i wanted in my S/F advertisement. it turned out they had none,
  6. Thats what i will be recommending to S/F, all tradesmen wanting work have to publish there trade organisation number when posting.
  7. I have been seriously ripped off by a forum user who applied for a job i wanted doing, a tradesman who had served there apprenticeship a skilled man (Electrician) i advertised for, the people who answered the advert who assured me that they where fully skilled turned out to be no more than odd job men, and they made a right mess of there work, i had to employ another trades man to do the job again, needless to say i will be taking them to court, i do know one of there addressers, And yes they came well recommended off the forum, i may be right or wrong but i have a suspicion that they recommend themselves, my apologise to the honest tradesmen who advertise on forums such as these, but its these cowboys who get you a bad name, the Electrician who re did the job was furious that people can do such dangerous work as they did, he wanted to report them himself. And now i have posted that, i will be making some recommendation's about tradesmen who advertising on S/F.
  8. its got to be the white cars fault, if the white car wasn't there it wouldn't have happened:loopy:
