  1. Saw him yesterday so I know he's around but I seem to remember him saying he's cutting right back with a view to retiring Might be worth giving him a call though
  2. Looking for recommendations for a rock n roll/ jive band for a birthday party in August (mid week). Anybody hired one recently?
  3. We've lived on the estate for 8 years now. Very quiet and no trouble
  4. Does anyone have any recommendations for a database that can be used on a MacBook Pro? Must be able to do a mail merge from it
  5. Same here. Nothing but good to say about them Posted from Sheffieldforum.co.uk App for Android
  6. I think I am correct in saying you can go in to a bus lane to pass a vehicle turning right so you need not be paranoid. That is incorrect. Highway Code rule 165 Posted from Sheffieldforum.co.uk App for Android
  7. If you read the road signs properly, the bus lane only operates during the rush hour. Outside the times stated on the signage, just use the left hand lane. Having said that, I agree that during rush hour, it will make things difficult. Posted from Sheffieldforum.co.uk App for Android
  8. That is correct. And it has to be three CLEAR working days, which given that we've got New Years Day this week (which isn't a working day), unless the test is on Saturday, then I'm afraid it looks like the thief has cost you another £62. The Driving Standards Agency don't accept any excuses. No licence = no test. It's no use ringing the local test centre, they can't do anything. Try ringing the national booking centre on 0300 200 1122 but they are usually quite rigid in their stance
  9. Depends what you're looking for. This is my daughter's website http://sarahsmithartwork.weebly.com/artwork.html
  10. Why on earth wouldn't they charge? They're providing a service for you - it's not part of the NHS!
  11. Posted from Sheffieldforum.co.uk App for Android ---------- Post added 22-09-2013 at 18:48 ---------- oops! A bit previous there! Just to clarify, all Approved Driving Instructors MUST display their green authorising Certificate (commonly known as a badge) in the windscreen of their vehicle whilst they are giving lessons. If you can't see one, then ask where it is. If they can't produce one, they are teaching you illegally Posted from Sheffieldforum.co.uk App for Android
  12. Tomorrow sees the start of the ice hockey season and if you're free and fancy a good game, this is the one to see. The Bradfield Brewery Sheffield Steeldogs complete their preparation for the 2013/14 EPL season with the traditional “War of the Roses” clash with the Manchester Phoenix. These games are usually exciting, physical encounters and following the Dogs victory last season, Andre and the team are determined to hang on to the trophy. The action starts at iceSheffield at 7.30pm. Manchester usually bring a large following support so get there early! Admission £9 adults, discounts for kids. Bar and food available
  13. Try Jon Hardy on 07773 013695. And in responses to the_rudeboy, do the refresher lessons in your own car Posted from Sheffieldforum.co.uk App for Android
  14. I went past just as they were in the process of clearing up. Thought it was quite ironic that one of the cars involved was an accident repair centre courtesy car!
  15. Have a look at Eleanor http://www.eleanorsdrivingschool.co.uk/
  16. I saw this late last night - it is truly horrific! The images are very graphic and the one image that I can't get out of my mind is the one of the little dog that had been skinned but was still alive and from his resting place on a pile of other dead, skinned dogs turned and looked straight on into the camera! I had intended to post the video myself but couldn't work out how. THIS MUST STOP!!! Have your tissues ready when you view it
  17. One of my pupils yesterday afternoon found a brown female Staffy running around in the middle of the road in Eckington. She's currently looking after it at home so if its yours (or you know who's it is), please text me on the number below - do not PM as I probably won't pick it up and don't call because I might not be in a position to answer. I'll then pass the message on The dog is currently warm, fed and snoring away
  18. Just had a laminate floor laid by Richard from R B Flooring 07415 908590. Fantastic job at a good rate. Would recommend him to anyone
  19. Well it's not snowing at Swallownest less than a mile away
  20. Well with every penny if you intend to do it seriously
