  1. Could smell it again this afternoon on way home from work. Bit like a strong disinfectant odour
  2. Anyone else noticed the horrible chemical odour when you drive up the motorway between Meadowhall and Rotherham turn off? Been smelling it for a while now. Wouldn't like living round there having to smell that everyday!
  3. Whilst fishing the River Don a year or so ago I came across two Eastern European guys barbecuing fish on the bankside they'd caught. When I asked them what they were doing it got a swift "f##k off"" reply.Bet neither had a rod licence! !
  4. Sounds like a good match Mick. Well done and great weights
  5. Lots of small carp in Heron. Expander close in. Some pegs are really deep close in. Alternatively 6mm hard pellet on band
  6. Looked on the website and looks impressive. Lovely big bream. Might have to give it a go
  7. Hearing that it's very weedy and unable to fish on the deck. Supposed to be big fish in but not heard any coming out.
  8. Fished it regular last year. There is a car park down the track that takes you behind the main lake. Plenty of bream and skimmers on soft pellet and depth around 4/5 foot. Also holds carp/tench / roach/ rudd and pike. Always done well on here. I fish pegs in front of car park. You can use keepnets if you want for silvers. Tickets were £7 last season. Smaller pond other side of road that contains some nice chub. Nets not allowed on this pond. Beautiful fishery that is well looked after. You can book the island if your carp fishing but usually a waiting list. Bailiff takes you across in a boat. Lethe me know how it goes. Tight lines
  9. Try Woodhouse Mill mate. Free fishing and big barbel are coming out below the roadbridge . Walk upstream on Princess Royal side too and if you wear Polaroids you'll see fish all along the length. Over run at moment too with signal crayfish.. probably why chub are getting big
  10. Definitely no fishing in the quays.!
  11. You'll need carp if you're looking to win. There are some good ide and roach in Lanta. I personally wouldn't use method unless you're on bottom pegs where you will need 16 metres to reach island .(14 /15 I think) If you've got an empty peg at your side fish up to that with meat or worm for carp. Caster is a top bait on here for ide. Let me know how it goes...tight lines
  12. Fish shallow to island for ide on caster. Margins later on for carp on meat.Worm will catch everything in there. Good luck
  13. Hearing that Kivo is closing. Anybody else heard news on this? Had a match booked later in year that has now been cancelled.
  14. I can highly recommend Blyton fishing and accommodation. Stayed a number of times and love it. Checkout their website or Facebook page. Angela is a great host and does a cracking full English.
  15. You still can't use method feeders, banjo or pellet feeder ( scoop). Just use bomb and you'll catch. Fish in the bowl on top lake. It's very shallow
  16. Clearwater lakes. Bream Chub Hybrids Roach Perch Ide Had all these today
  17. Clearwater lakes Mattersey. Been today and had loads out on maggot over groundbait.
  18. For pool and darts try Trades and Labour club on Duke St

  21. Hi. To qualify for the Green Un matches you have to win a local club match and get your secretary to upload it onto the Green Un match result site. Alternatively, if you are the Secretary and submit your club match results , then you get automatic qualification. Normally two qualifying matches with each section winner going through to the final.
