  1. I agree with everyone-it was an amazing night;but thought Ian and Zoe should have won. What amazed me the most was Flavia and Vincent's tango, utterly amazing.
  2. I know, exactly the same happened with us. We used to go to Luna Rossa once or twice a month, it was reasonably p[riced, the food was really good and you could take your own wine. Things deteriorated when the new management came in and we never went back. A total shame because it was really really good.
  3. marco's @ milanos is the best in Sheffield I have ever been to. Totally wonderful
  4. I just want to recommend 'Cocoa' a chocolate shop on Ecclesall Road (opposite pizza hut, just above Yankees restaurant.) It was my friend's hen day yesterday and as part of it we had a tasting session in Cocoa and it was absolutely amazing! The shop itself is so beautifully decorated-it is just what you would dream a chocolate shop to be like, think 'boudoir' and 'shabby chic' and that will kind of give you a picture but i can't reallydo it justice. The tasting session was amazing, the chocolate utterly divine and the girls who own and run the shop are so lovely!! I would recommend it to anyone who loves chocolate...it was an absolutely brilliant part of our day. They also told me they are going to start up events in there such as a book club, I know a few of us are thinking of going. Eating chocolate and reading books in a beautiful setting sounds just fab to us!! PS-ask for a cup of their hot chocolat milk and you won't believe what you are drinking-out of this world!
  5. Hi there The Old Vic is fab-and there is also Fischers at Baslow which is apparantly lovely, but i haven't been there. There are also some pretty decent rooms attached as well and it came recommended from someone who I know enjoys lovely food. Why not go to both!!
  6. Milanos is absolutely lovely. It is a tiny bit more than other restaurants but if like good food then you are fully aware why you are paying the 'extra.' If you are a scrimper then don't bother-yes there are cheaper places but they just aren't as special. Try the crab and chilli linguine for starters and the pecan brule for desert and you can't go far wrong. As for the main courses-all brill!!
  7. I have had the pleausure of tasting some of the juicable's delicious menu and I wasn't disappointed. In fact the only problem I had was choosing what I should order. I am going to test some of the gorgeous sounding smoothies next week. I would certianly recommend that people try it out soon!!
  8. I am going with my mates and we can't bloody wait. Listening to all the old favourites and getting very excited!!!!!! By the way does anyone think the ebay ******s have no soul??? I remember when i used to go to gigs in the 'old' days and you could actually wait and save up to go and see someone rather than have to pay some ****** five times the ticket price to see your favourite band.......and that's after trying to get tickets one minute after the box office opens. BAN EBAY TICKET SALES I am now thirty so can sometimes afford a bit more-grudgingly. But what about the new generation of music lovers??? They can't spend £100 to se a band and why shouldn;t they see them? Sorry, rant started and now has to end because it is a fruitless discussion with myself. BAN EBAY TICKET TOUT ******S!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  9. I am going wiht my mates and we can't bloody wait. Listening to all the old favourites and getting ver excited!!!!!!
  10. Hi there!! How weird! My boyfriend's Mum showed me her stitch and bitch books the other night and I vowed I would learn to knit!! Is the group still meeting on a Monday night in Weatherspoons???? Do new people turn up every week? I would love to join so please let me know if it is still on........and is it the norm for people to help beginners who don't know what they are doing?? Thank you
  11. Hi there I have absolutely no experience with pottery, have never done it and may be absolutely awful-but it is something I really fancy having a go at. Are there any classes out there which suit my amateur profile? Thanks
  12. There is also a dive shop in Nether Edge S7 and they seem to look pretty friendly when i walk past. I learned with those at Killamarsh and found the instructors a little patronising.
  13. I really want to start photography lessons but it seems that sheffield only has a GCSE course at sheffield college. I have missed the deadline for that and would love to start in jan/feb time. There used to be something at the site galery which has since stopped-any ideas??? Thanks
  14. Thanks for that. I will just have to be patient!!
  15. Hi there I am intersted in starting taking piano lesons again. I live in nether edge and would like someone fairly near.......can anyone recommend a patient teacher-I am pretty rusty! Thank you
