I had a similar experience a few days ago, I'm a volunteer first responder and was attending an emergency call where a car pulled up in the middle of the road trying to park up on opposite side of road but blocking me from passing, I quickly got out and asked if they would reverse back so I could get pass explaining I'm on an emergency call but was given verbal abuse, this cost 2 minutes of my response time.

The point I was trying to make is that council only seem to empty bins on bus routes when snow is down regardless whether our road is clear or not. But as I said above they been and done them today

Is there a case for cheaper council tax! If your home is not on a bus route? I live about 20 yards from the road that's on a bus route, the blue bins were emptied on that route this week even tho our road was passable, but all the residents on my road still have their bins out for collection. With the council setting out their gritting program should council tax banding be re-looked at? The grifters were obviously sent out to treat roads where public services go, what would happen if we had such a sevear winter where snow was down for the whole winter period, would those not on a bus route be left months without bins emptied? Assuming the Gritter were at full capacity thus why such as us were not on the gritting plan.

Think I read that the banning of smoking in your privately owned car comes into force this coming October, is that meddling too much?
