  1. I think the lowest rent is around £300,000 per year. Thats compared to around £20,000 in the city centre for a shop of the same size.
  2. No need to be patronising, especially as you have no idea what youre talking about. If you go into Wilkos on Haymarket then you'll know exactly what i mean. The store has been totally transformed for incoming influx of students. In fact the majority of the 'Point of Sale' signs say STUDENT on them. Im gonna pop in later so i'll take a photo for you
  3. A handful of people should not be able to have the deciding vote on an event for thousands of people. Its time that we stop pandering to the minority in this country. A handful of nimbys always seem to ruin it for everyone else.
  4. I was paying £45 a month for SKY broadband, phone and TV. We had a independant company install broadband in my building so i pay £25 for unlimited 100mb download speed. Sky offered me half price for my TV so i now only pay £10 a month for SKY TV So i now pay only £35 for superfast broadband and SKY TV. And i dont pay for a telephone line i haven't used since 2012. I was so happy about that
  5. Well obviously he wasnt my only reason to want to leave. But he was a tipping point.
  6. Do you research on other providers (Virgin, BT) and when you speak to SKY give the impression that you are on the fence with who do go with information about what the other companies are offering. Never sign up there and then. Always say you'll think about it and call back and they will keep topping up the offer.
  7. Anyone who drives during Tramlines is either teetotal or drink driving. Ge the tram and have a beer
  8. I was on the fence during the referendum but it was Jucker who pushed me into voting leave. His pompous arrogant attitude was the deciding factor. The British people dont bow down to dictators. Anyone who cant see the EU master plan should look again.
  9. I went into Wilkos yesterday and half of the store is dedicated to Students . I got some right bargains. 50p for a pint glass, £4 for an iron. £2 for a picture frame. Get involved.
  10. Most of them are junkies. I dont care what anyones says. We used to get a story about them needing 50p for a bus. At least they used to give it some effort. Now they just sit on their backside all day with their hands out. Anyone who gives them money is enabling them and giving money to drug dealers.
  11. But its gone back uphill since Ladbrokes and Poundland opened.
  12. I think that every 10 years is reasonable and then a physical and reactions test every year after 75 years old.
  13. Those girls on reality TV think that 'Feminism' is a brand of sanitary towel
  14. No different to us giving billions to the ungrateful scottish or the reluctant welsh. And the northern irish people really needed some money so it was a win-win for everyone involved.
  15. Between now and the next election the Tories will end austerity and will look like heroes. Thats been the plan since before the last election. Thats why they didnt give anything away. Just shows how far behind labour are that they promised everyone a free ride and they still couldn't win.
  16. Im not talking about people with disabilities. Im talking about the feckless, workshy, baby making machines and layabouts And the other new thing i discovered the other day was that people on unemployment are claiming child care costs. I mean WTF. They are sat at home all day watching Jeremy Kyle and claming bebenfits for someone else to look after their hoard of children. And to make it worse they get the money paid directly into their own bank accounts and alot dont pay the nursery, they just keep the money. Disgraceful.
  17. Back of a fag packet in a nice punchy media soundbite please!
  18. Sorry i got bored of reading this and gave up half way through.
  19. Where Corbyn just flat out lies to get votes by talking rubbish about student fees and claiming to want to leave the EU when they had no intention of leaving the single market. What labour want to do is give people who sit around on their backsides all day more money. They want to give more incentives for people not to work. Like they did in the Blair years which we are all still paying for now.
  20. I dunno. When the revolution comes i will stay and fight. Not flee to another country half way round the world and leave all the women and children behind. Actually, i might be able to claim asylum in Australia. Instead of having to go through the whole lengthy process of getting a visa legally. Why get in a queue when i can justpush in at the front.
