She will explain the 'lost wax' method to you and guide you through the process of carving your wax model to make a personalised item of jewellery. Jayne will arrange for the models to be cast and then hand finish them to your specification. Whatever you have created in wax will be exactly replicated in solid sterling silver, beautifully gift-boxed and available for you to collect from Sew in the City within 3 weeks - ideal as the perfect Christmas gift for someone special! Come along to a hands-on workshop where you will have the opportunity to design and create your very own ring from a wax model! The workshops will be held at The Holt Cafe on Arundel Street on Saturday 29th April and Saturday 20th May, beginning at 11am with all tools and materials included. At the end of the session, I’ll take away your carved ring to cast it in solid sterling silver before filing, sanding and polishing to your desired finish.
