well all the people who spent the last 3 weeks slagging it off look thoroughly stupid now. Great event and everybody is talking about sheffield, hopefully this will translate into visitors. I don't think this will bring people to Sheffield on it's own though, we need to bring people in for other events.

It was the first IKEA in the UK, i'm not saying that IKEA isn't popular nay more but it definitely won't be as busy as warrington was when it first opened

I used to drive on that section every day for work, thank god we moved offices. You really do stop at 5 or 6 sets of lights between the parkway and shalesmoor. And you have to stop at them all, they're never on green, so frustrating

it was thermostat both times on mine. but as I said, they won't replace that, the whole thing comes out

I have had my electric shower replaced twice in the last few years (under insurance thankfully) They won't replace a part they'll have to replace the whole thing as seems to be the done thing these days.

It is very noticeable as you're coming down the parkway isn't it? I'm pretty sure this will go with the rest of the building though, I think you can see a doorway or opening at the top but I'm not sure what it actually is

It's the time limit rather than the 40p. I went to hillsborough park with the kids one sunday and there was a traffic warden patrolling the car park (on a sunday, sheesh!). I had to run back to the car as I lost track of time to go and put another ticket on. We already pay for these parks with our council tax, why shouldn't people park for free if they can? I agree it's only a matter of time before double yellows are introduced.

where there's blame there's a claim! what are you hoping to get out of this? an apology? you've already had one so the only reason left to be complaining is you feel you need to be compensated in some way. I can't see this going ahead. IKEA will probably look toward building a store off the M18 instead. Is there any way we can convince people to vote this council out at the next election? this city is a joke.

I'm sure the council will reject it like they did with next. they seem to think the city centre is the be all and end all. I personally think it would be madness to turn them down. The old twil site will be derelict for years to come.

Well I have been made redundant and claimed JSA before, the last thing I would do is complain that they were taking too long to give me my free money. It's only once a week.

Even if the have been made redundant the point still stands. "i can't believe these people are taking so long to give me my free money!" "The queue is so long for these free ice creams" "there is a free bar here but it's too busy to get served" Etc Etc Etc

yeah it's sad people have to wait in a queue to get money for nothing isn't it? some people have to work 40 hours a week for their money

OK How much is a chest of drawers from there? can I look online and check the measurements before I go down there and buy it? is it flat pack so I can take it home myself or do I have to pay for it to be delivered? I'm fed of of people slagging ikea off when the probably haven't even set foot in the place yet alone owned any of there furniture. I bet 99% of people who actually own something from IKEA actually don't think it's poorly made

They won't be making the mistake of building another store like this one, it makes WAY less money than other stores and was actually operating at a loss after 2 years of trading, It's actually 8 floors and a nightmare to shop in. Yes even worse than a normal IKEA. The warrington store was the first IKEA in the UK.
