  1. Thanks Goose and Pintor. So, do I have to get a paid subscription for Sky Sports if I want to see all of SUFC's remaining games?
  2. I was wondering if anyone could shed some light on the situation. With the return of PL football, I thought it was announced weeks ago that all remaining games were going to be free to air, which would have been the right (and safest) thing to ensure, given the current situation. Sadly, it seems that this is now not going to be the case. Are fans now forced to buy a costly SkySports subscription if they want to watch all the remaining games from the safety of their homes? Being a Virgin Media customer, I absolutely resent having to pay an extra £7 on top of the charges, just to get SkySports in HD! I don't think we can even get it in Ultra HD! If I don't pay the extra £7 it looks absolutely garbage on my TV. HD at least should be an expected standard.
  3. Thank you for your answers, Friendly Muslim. That's very enlightening. Is the sacrifice referring to the same individuals who appear in the Bible, when God tells Abraham to sacrifice a ram in place of his son, Isaac?
  4. Eid Mubarak, Friendly Muslim. Please could you tell me what is the difference between the two types of Eid? And what do they both signify? For example, in Christianity, the two main festivals are Christmas - signifying the birth of Christ, and Easter - signifying the Resurrection of Christ. Also, does Ramadan only come before one of the two types of Eid, or both? Also, why do different Muslims have Eid on different days sometimes? Thank you in advance.
  5. I hope you find out the truth Danny. It's a testament to your Mum that you never give up. Has their ever been a true crime type program about your mum's case? If you weren't successful in getting a well known investigative team on board maybe someone with local connections could help? I'm sure we have good local film makers.
  6. Irrfan was a great talent. His role in The Lunchbox was very compelling. He also starred in Life of Pi and Slumdog Millionaire. Gone too soon. RIP
  7. With the bank's permission, the family is allowed to have access to reasonable costs associated with the funeral. Could the person have claimed this?
  8. Probably because they haven't ridden a bike for years but it's yet another convenient excuse to spend more time outside because they feel that they are untouchable in terms of the virus and it's just hard luck for anyone else. It's the same with the hundreds of new faces who have suddenly taken up jogging and heaven help any old lady walking on the same path.
  9. Tweet @joelycett. He will like this one. This is RAC who were set up to represent motorists' best interests, ripping them off.
  10. Oh Bob, that's so kind of you. There's no need for thanks, though. It's an honour to be able to be some small part of your amazing journey and it's you that deserves the real credit. Your family are fortunate that you love them so much and your relationship with them will become increasingly rewarding as you overcome this, as will all aspects of your life. I hope you can find pleasure in exercising as that will help with your mind, combatting stress, and inner strength too. I do agree that a lot of positives have arisen out of this lockdown and it definitely makes us realise what/who's really important to us. I'm good thanks, Bob. Been enjoying the amazing weather. Keep safe, lots of love. Lex
  11. Great to hear from you, pal. Just been catching up with your story. Well done, you. It's great to hear you have done so much positive work. I'm really pleased to note your sensible, practical approach, and that you realise a small set back is just that, and that you're in this for the long haul. It's fantastic that you've had that great feedback from your loved ones, that is something to hold on to when things are particularly challenging. These times are difficult for all of us, so to achieve what you have so far is a real testament to your determination and commitment. I'm so pleased for you.👏👍
  12. Couldn't agree more. Makes you wonder what Matt Hancock was saying during all of those imaginary planning meetings he'd been having with the major supermarkets for months.
  13. Did you manage to resolve/improve the situation? Does the care/support have to be provided by an agency? Could you use the funds from the council to employ 3 or 4 PAs who could share the role and, hopefully be around for the longer haul?

  15. The National Space Centre is broadcasting it's first ever planetarium show on YouTube for families from 6pm this evening.
  16. I heard of another supermarket giving the trolley to the customer and then giving the customer something to wipe the trolley handle with. Is that similar to what is happening at Sainsbury's?
  17. When we've seen the footage from supermarkets in Italy, the supermarkets are using a pressure spray (presumably with a bleach solution?) to sanitize the trollies before each customer takes one. They've been doing this for months now. Why aren't any of our supermarkets doing this?
  18. For anyone needing help with home schooling, the BBC Bitesize website is a fantastic resource. www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize Also, they have now started daily lessons with a host of well known personalities, from David Attenborough to Sergio Aguero! www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/dailylessons
