  1. Happen(s/ed) up at Grimesthorpe too, it is said that people are looking for what might be left of packs of mephadrone, the plant food banned a while back.
  2. There is a small playground just to the north of Abbeyfield Park, at the end of Firshill Rise. It has a fantastic metal rocket that kids could climb on. I went there with my kids the other day and it had been pulled up and taken away. The playground was run down but it is real pity and it was a classic of playground furniture.
  3. I saw this place on the Staniforth Road last night driving back from Asda (thrills). http://www.google.co.uk/maps?q=&layer=c&z=17&iwloc=A&sll=53.386632,-1.413632&cid=14399777809298966067&cbp=13,336.1,-5.6,0,0&panoid=fVyedTmM0ER2nGnwscRoKA&ei=ujfzTuCyEMzG8QPKv9SwAQ&sa=X&oi=local_result&ct=streetview-image-link&cd=1&resnum=4&ved=0CAgQnwIoADAD Can anyone tell me anything about the history of the Institute? I can see that it is functioning as a club now but was wondering about the origin of the name?
  4. I don't rate the place either. I felt I was being overcharged for really substandard stuff. Felt uncomfortable there.
  5. the place off parkway is called Emmaus - a catholic charity - nice place - well worth checking out. emmaus.org.uk/sheffield
  6. "Shahi Kebabs" on Spital Hill just before the East House on the left hand side as you go up the hill. It's used by all the taxi drivers - good recommendation - the Shish is delicious!
  7. Now that the racquet shop (racket?) has closed down can someone tell me where I can buy shuttlecocks? Decathlon don't have the ones I want and I don't know another supplier. Many thanks
