  1. If people are in serious debt they tend to be very compliant.

They don't have much choice really

Which is why policies that have happened over the past 25 years have been used to increase the cost of housing

Sadly those who are over the age of 60 will still think everything is pro rata to how it was in the 80s and 90s.

So when the interest rates are 4%, the oldies think young people have never had it so good

  2. I can remember when interest rates were 15% on my £15,000 house and it was devastating.

What is the interest rate now 4%?

I think our younger relations have paid £100,00 for a garden shed, but the interest rate is only 4%, the older generation will have painfull memories of interest rates at 15%

So younger people have never had it so good with low mortgage payments

The performance against Blackburn, irrespective of the result, was ‘terrible’, so I look forward to a ‘class’ performance against West Brom. 😉

That could be the best approach for the Manager, tell them the performance against Blackburn was an embarrasment prior to the game

Then the owls will probably win 5-0 against WBA

Nobody "...needs...." to use a car.

Cars are best for certain types of journey -but not for all. People undertake a range of of journeys types using a range of methods. For some a car journey is the most practical, sensible, convenient and cheapest way to go with no realistic alternative. For others totally impractical. For most there is a choice to be made.

Car usage  and car ownership should be considered differently. Most families have access to a car but don't "...need..." to use it every day especially when there are alternatives. It is the provision of alternatives and changes in habit that help to reduce car usage.

Totally agree, I think car usage should be massively reduced as I am fed up of being stuck in traffic jams.

Surely some form of tax would make a sizeable percentage of car owners consider other methods of transport?

It would free up the roads

  5. Problem is Huddersfield are matching our results, when we lose they lose, when we win they win, when we draw they draw

That is the problem, goal difference

If we win every game of the season they will win theres.

If we lose every game of the remaining season, they will do they same

That's a very interesting scenario Mr. Rogets, but needs a bit of clarification....

If the Owls score 2, and Stoke score 1, then the Owls will be declared the winner..

They will then be awarded 3 points to add to their tally of 43 points..

This will give them a grand total of 46 points.

If the teams around them lose, then the Owls will leapfrog out of the relegation zone.

If the teams around them win, then it will be Status Quo.

It's very complicated at the moment, and I hope this clarifies the implications this huge game has.

Owls won't beat Stoke, I reckon a draw in this game
