Trying to find an old work mate of mine Paul Fred Ellis, he went to Wisewood school leaving early 70`s, Worked in rolling Mills in Oughtibridge 1974 to 1982 when we lost touch, Last I heard he was living in Hillsbrough. Thanks in anticipation

Travellers Rest Oughtibridge 1974 aged 16 Old Cyril was such a tight old git he would serve anybody -
Used to go in the Park Hotel in late seventies/early eighties some right characters in the Tap room, Bert Hill the well know patient from Middlewood Hospital used to entertain us and run bets for the price of a drink.

Hi St Petre It was on the Right as you come into Oughtibridge from Middlewood opposite the very first houses I think it is a caravan storage place now. It shut down in 1982 I was one of the youngest there and I`m 60 now, Most of the millhands are no longer with us -

Hi cot123 I have just come across this post.I worked with your dad From `74 until `82 when we all got made redundant, Roy was a Roll Turner then went into Management a very fair bloke. I once bought a Triumph Herald off him It was in immaculate condition until I got hold of it. -

Swings ans Roundabouts indeed Mate I went into Nursing and spent over 30 years working on L/D, Psychiatric and Forensic Hospitals ,enjoyed every second, Retired in 2013 and now work 2 days a week in a low secure unit. I married and have 4 wonderful kids and 1 Grandson. I occasionally wonder what happened to the people I went to school with. -
