  3. I used to play football on the Nottingham Street rec In the 60s with Albert Daily Ted and Luis Devin Ronnie Jackson Amid Cassim and others happy days and I meet my wife on their as I said happy days

  6. Yes I have some names but there from the 1911censes they are, Edward farther Martha mother James Thomas Maggie Edward and Nellie they lived at ,72 Swarecliffe Rd James the farther was born in Irland I think Maggie married one of the Allen family of Norman St in 1920 hope it helps thanks

Hiya does anyone remember these teachers from owlerlane secondary school Mr Wilson MrTurner MrsMegson and Mr Cliff Mr Wilson and Mr Cliff used to take the boys to Concord Park from 1958to62 the last time I saw MrsMegson was when I was playing football for Grimesthorpe boys club and her husband was the referee that was in the late 60s there classes had two different years in them why bye for now

At petre I remember doing some formens office's in the fitting shop they fitted the radiator's one day when they came back the next day they had all gone and when you fitting doors in the factory the bloke's would come up to and not to bother as they wouldn't be there the next day and someone left his car in the carpark when he was on night's when he went to get in it the next morning it was on bricks were ever you went you had to take everything with you evan to the loo
  12. Hi one of is cars was mirc convertible it was said to be long to bernywinters of Mick and Berny winters and snorbitzs the dog but the car he had when I started there was a brown Bristol convertible and his father had a Gray rover and Bedford vans from Bentley bothers in the wicker

  15. Petre I don't know how he kept his job at Ardens he was always late for work andimeanlatehehad to work every day for bare time as he never put 8hours aday in and he lived at the top of Herris Rd on the left hand side going up to the petrol station he was a nice bloke

  17. Did you know John Holiday and Billy Parmer they worked with ken I worked for Ardens at Achasons with Jack Cadman you didn’t get many Forman like him I also know Stuart from SSC i went from achos to Ssc Ardens we’re in both places for a lot of years did you also know Neville
  18. St Peter 3 off the Longley brothers worked at Ardens at one time Kenny Brian and Derick I think he went carpet fitting they all worked at Achasons on Claywheels Lane kenny worked for ardens shut up did you work for them ps I think jimmy sweeny did as well for a bit

No the office was on Hallcar street below the corner shop and Mrs Fords house not above the jewellers that’s the dance studio who’s door was on Spital Hill between laycocks and a fruit and veg shop Jack Arden had a brown Bristol car convertible then stocks bookies across the street then a pub on the corner and the album at the top of the street
  20. I worked with jack at Ardens he was a gentleman always came and found you to thank you for doing the job he asked you to do

I worked for Ardans I served my time there in the 60s as a joiner there address was spiral hill but the office was on Hallcar street they only seemed to work in firms they didn’t do many houses they were in Sheffield smelting co prestos achasons claywheels lane it was a good firm to work for I left in 1974 I know Ken Longley John Halliday and many more great blokes Ardens were on the go in in the 90s from the the same place but I think they just kept the name
