  1. Hi, I don't think my original post was very clear but I'm only doing the journey twice a week: from Sheffield (S10 area) to Manchester (m23 area) on a friday night and back again on a Sunday night. For the person who put that I shouldn't be driving if I don't like driving at night: learn to read. I put that I don't want to drive on snake pass at night, not avoid driving at night all together. But thanks everyone for all the responses, it's given me loads to go on! Don't feel half as nervous any more. :)
  2. Hello, I'm about to start University in Sheffield but I'll need to be commuting to Manchester. Unfortunately due to work this will mean me travelling at night. I've drove to Sheffield a few times via Snake Pass and Woodhead, but I think these are mostly unlit roads and I'll be too scared to drive them in the dark. Long story short is there a safe (lit) way to get to Sheffield from Manchester at night? I don't mind if it takes longer. I'm sorry if I sound really picky but I'm genuinely sick with worry thinking about this. Thank you for any help..
