  1. 1-1... sorry did you say something
  2. 0-1 whoops! Had most of the play... need to pull one back quick.
  3. yes... Game on! PS, why do they call Nuhiu big Dave?
  4. Not the best start. What's with Hutchinson? Plenty of time yet!
  5. There's no such thing as normal. Perhaps its abnormal to think there's such thing as normal. Normal is only according to that one person... In their own internal world. One mans normality is another mans abnormality and vice versa. Also just because its defined in a dictionary doesn't mean to say its true. A dictionary is a bit "rule booky" and way too normal for me. Today I think I'll pretend to be normal! I think not.
  6. Cheers mate! You had a ban too Probably not lol. Glad to be back though!
  7. Yes agree. Do you think they'll park the bus? If we're flexible in our play we should be ok. Think we've just got to keep going. Silly international games can break momentum... confident in NA though to make them aware of these type of pitfalls.
  8. Top 7 are the Owls I believe. I wonder if there's anything in that... hope not
  9. Briefly read somewhere the other the day regarding our European friends that travelling to and from jobs is classed as work. For example, a gas fitter going from one job to another is classed as work. What do others think? Only scanned it very quickly but here's a link. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-34210002 Personally I think it depends on the job. If your a paramedic then that for me is certainly part of the job. A self employed electrician would have to see it as a job I should imagine. However, someone who's employed as a plumber - I'm not so sure.
  10. Getting compliments day in day night, does get a bit too much. Was flattering at first but now it gets a bit tiresome
  11. yes thanks Southey for carrying it on!
  12. Think you've got to start taking points sooner or later. Burnley are a good side but Wednesday have brought in some interesting players. Think it will give you a clue on where or how far you've come. So I'll say a draw. Might be goals in this one.
  13. burnley 2-2 owls blades 2-1 bury barnsley 1-1 swindon charlton 2-0 rotherham walsall 2-1 donny chesterfield 3-1 colchester
  14. Another game we "should" win. If we're flexible in our play, can't see us slipping up. I'm going for a 2-1 win!
  15. Owch... I was once at the lakes and on a boat with a group of friends. I was messing around and the instructor shouts... boom/duck (I think that's what she said) I wasn't listening. And whack... right in head. It hit me that hard I nearly fell off the boat. It was only when someone who was older than me grabbed me and stopped me from going in the water. I've never been the same since.
  16. So is not paying your invoice or not having something contractually or getting it upfront. No time for sentiments. If they won't pay, then other people/businesses should know. (if what you've said is true regarding your client making every excuse under the sun) That's unprofessional and disrespectful. I hope you sort it out.
  17. Yes I agree. As much as NA deserve it. I think Hasslebaink should get it. With the lack of resources he's had I'd say well done. Anyway we don't want the Manager of the month award, curse!
  18. Really?? I can't believe that surely. But your right you couldn't make it up. I wouldn't have thought it was true... he'd get some right hammer from his team mates if that was so! And rightly so.
  19. Isn't the deadline 6pm? I think we'll go for loan signings now. Wednesday have been busy. He's a good player from Watford (I believe)
  20. I get what you are saying and it even makes sense. I think in answering your points - which are good points in bold. I can only say then that's down to bad recruitment by the owner. And I include us in this as well. If a manager says well I want to sign "x" because "I know him" then that's fine. But If I was a club owner I'd address this in the interview process and put them in an uncomfortable spot by asking them directly... who would you sign if I gave you the go ahead? I know that might sound a little unrealistic but it would show we certain things about the person who I'm looking at hiring. It would show me how flexible they are in the recruitment process, it would show me if they've even thought about it - or just turned up with lack of preparation. It would also show give me some idea of who they might want to hire. I know I'm going of topic and like I say I might even be a old fashioned in how you go about things. But to me a manager should se the boss. I suppose time will tell! And I don't know what goes off behind the scenes.
  21. Gazze - I think I'm a little old fashioned. I like the manager to be the manager and pick his team. Success leaves a trail sort of speak. So the committee pick the players and if they don't perform - they get rid of the manager? Doesn't make sense to me this. Think the players would respond to a manager who knew that they wanted them personally. But I suppose it's swings and roundabouts. Top - Yes a few additions but seems like they've changed their entire identity within a short period of time. I do agree, the signings do look a little erratic shall we say. I'm not saying it won't work. I'm just saying I'd be a little nervous.
  22. Hooper for me... He'd definitely get goals. May gone to Preston? You just know that he'll hit double figures this season. He'll be chomping at the bit to start.
  23. More to the point. As anyone took money out of the tip bowl when no ones looking, then put it back in again right in front of the waiter/bar person? Makes you look pretty good!
  24. That's the only problem though. New foreign owners come in, throw money at something what lets face wasn't really a problem at your club. So a new manager comes in. Get a heap of players who are expected to gel quickly and then if not, he gets the sack, then they hire another manager, spend more money on signings etc and the circle continues. Look at Cardiff, Blackburn and Fulham to a less extent. I genuinely think I'd be a little nervous at this. And I no way mean this as a dig.
