  1. I couldn't agree more. I think most people (football sections) apart from the odd few, have wound people up. It's part and parcel of the game. What makes me laugh is when people continually complain then at some point, they'll throw in their two pennies worth and forget what they initially complained about. I read webby posts and I have to say he's a brilliant example of how you should be in this section. As for closing this section... oh dear. That says a lot about that person. Just for the record... Potlegs would be a great terminator, I mean moderator. (and I'm not joking) Moderators I'm joking... before you take it serious lol
  2. Have to agree with pretty much every you've both said. I still think we'll be up there but we're going to have to ring the changes defensively.
  3. No not unhappy with it mate, think its quite funny lol highlighting hypocrisy. But your ok fella! Apologies it wasn't aimed at anyone in particular. For the record I like a bit of fun.
  4. We have at least two Wednesday fans on sheffield football section who continually complain about a few Blades so called trolling yet there's a few of their own doing it right now. I wonder if the same ones who complain say it about their own?? Nah of course they won't.
  5. Well done for coming back. But a side from Sharps goal, how strange were the others. For 70 mins we were awful. No movement, defence still a big question mark. The confidence at the back is very low. Most of the game was just side wards passing with no conviction and in the middle of the park, we were so static. We were too keen on hitting it up front with no other support afterwards. Sharp did well considering and took his goal well. When we have the ball we have to think about it a bit more and make the right decisions and go forward with it. Edgar; I feel a bit sorry for and hope it's just a small blip because he's usually a decent defender. The rest of the defence for me are very average at best. Baxter did well but we need him attacking and being a bit more direct. Salmon when he came on did well, but he's another who's got to make better decisions when he's got the ball. Good comeback, a terrible 70 mins, but were better afterwards. We need a big improvement though and our movement in the middle has to improve. ---------- Post added 20-09-2015 at 14:12 ---------- Yes he is and usually a solid defender. Just a blip. You know about blips don't you with your six games without a win. You marginally beat a side who will be bottom half of the league at the end of the season and your salivating at the mouth again aren't you... like you were nearly two months ago when you beat Bristol City another champions league side
  6. I joke a lot on here about you lot. But I can see you reaching the play offs. I have to say with reluctance... you look very good going forward and I'm somewhat envious
  7. Well we won't win this if we carry on playing like this. I'm genuinely concerned!
  8. lol a truly awful performance at the moment. Just got back to watch the last 15 mins of the first half. One word. Awful. Edgar was a fault and as not been the same since his return from international duty. We seem to be passing it side wards and when we do go forward, it's right up to sharp, as if he was a target man. We look like we've had the confidence knocked out of us!
  9. Agree with everything you have said. Exactly my thoughts and yes your first and third point, was what I was meaning. Stopping the rot and not being left behind with a mountain to climb.
  10. A game we need to win. Simple as that. Do I think we will. I honestly don't know.
  11. You haven't won in six games... You don't think it's a must win? If you don't win this; serious doubt will start to kick in. You didn't expect to be where you are... Even at this stage of the season. Winless runs become an habit. Its a must win and I think your club would agree with me.
  12. Clearly a must win game this one for you. I fully expect to beat these. Can't see you losing to these.
  13. Loan, then buying them when it opens ---------- Post added 18-09-2015 at 15:44 ---------- Just was told he was your best player!
  14. Our paths have never met, but reading some of your posts its clear your obviously a VERY popular, WELL liked and respected person and very witty Hang in there mate. Never met you, but thinking of you!
  15. It must be disheartening for him as he was your star player wasn't it. Rumours in the newspaper that we're possibly buying a couple of players Dan Burn from Fulham and a player from Leicester who I can't remember his name.
  16. I hear that... think we need to look at the central defence and defensive midfield.
  17. I watched highlights of you against Bolton and I have to admit I was impressed. I suppose it depends on each individual opinion. Do you watch nice attractive football, or do you want to win ugly. I think you'll be ok. Do you think you'll sky rocket up the league? The only problem I'd have with you is that they might be a tendency to change things all the time... so know one really settles. I do like some of your latest signings though, lad from Watford and can't remember the midfielder. It's all opinions!
  18. I actually totally agree with that. I can't remember the last time we had players who had a presence and scared you. Megson I think is one of the most under rated managers you've ever had. ---------- Post added 17-09-2015 at 16:37 ---------- McLaren... how do you mean dobby?
  19. So over the past few weeks we've all had time to watch our respected clubs. Blades have had a change managerial wise. With a few signings. The players seem to buy into watch NA is doing. However defensively I think it's well known that we need to recruit. Despite an indifferent start, I believe we have the right manager. However (and I know it's early days) Has it made that much difference in terms of were we are in the league? I know it's a process and its time to "gel" but these are professional people and should be flexible enough and have enough experience to adapt quickly. We can't forget what NC has done in terms of where we were when he took over; and you can't deny he did an excellent job. Turning us from relegation contenders to playoff contenders. NA has come in and I do buy into what he's wanting to do. But If I go complete black and white for a moment... has it made any difference as to where we are in the league? I'm in no way uncertain and ultimately he'll turn it around defensively and will move up the table... BUT... was it worth it, I ask Blades fans who go week in week out? I'd be interested to know where we were in the league this time last season. Had NC had time, would he have sorted the issues of last season? I'm not too sure. What's other Blades opinions? As for the Owls. What's your thoughts? Where were you last season compared to this season? You've spent millions of pounds... probably one of the highest in the league... but do you think it was worth it? Your defence was excellent last season... but seem to be faulty at the back. You were top ten I think this time last season and now your 18th. Do you think your management team is right, have you signed too many players? You've bought an excellent midfielder in July and scored in his first game, but nowhere to be seen... does this mean CC doesn't know who it strongest side is? You haven't won a game for weeks, and when you did that was against a former pub league side who were finding their feet. Are you concerned about your club and was it worth getting rid of SG, who gave you certainty to someone who you don't know and now touching relegation as you read this? Owls was changing your manager worth it? Guys I know it's STILL early days for both clubs... just wondered what the general opinions are about your club. For me longer term I do think it was worth changing NC to NA for various reasons. One being he's proven.
  20. I thought the midfield was at fault for the first one especially. No back tracking. But defence needs a sort out and defence should start up field.
  21. Millers 1-1 Cardiff Owls 2-0 Fulham Blackpoo1 1-1 Reds Coventry 2-1 Chezzy Donny 2-0 Oldham Bradford 2-1 Blades (Sadly enough)
  22. Played some decent stuff. I tell you what, your number 7 - got to be miss of the season. I see your favourite player Hutchinson nearly lost it you again I think Bolton are in trouble this season.
  23. I thought you caught it... in Whitby
  24. Lewis McGugan... and he's a midfielder You bought a player in July and then he either falls out with the manager, or the manager then doesn't play him...why? Unrest, manager didn't want him but the club committee do?? Doesn't make sense this and I find it baffling Gazza, Top, are you on the committee... what's going on, tell us??
  25. Bad result this one... No hiding. Fair play to Sharp in taking responsibility. We clearly need new personal. No clean slates. If they can't play in the third tier of football... Time to let them go.
