We take less than france and italy. No crisis here.
They shouldn't be in France either.

  2. I posted a link in post 124 of the cost to British industry and if it continues it could go into billions as at the moment it is costing millions of pounds each week plus the amount of working time lost because of the delays which is entirely due to these people who are after all committing criminal acts by breaking into the lorries.

    re-posted the link http://www.supplymanagement.com/news/2015/ps1-billion-of-goods-ruined-by-illegal-immigration-as-uk-government-beefs-up-security-for

This could be reduced bye a considerable amount if the French and UK governments co-operated and processed them in France and flew them back to their countries of origin or the nearest safe country sharing the cost and workload.

Our MEPs should be kicking ass big time.

  3. Thanks a million acman. That little piece of info has been bugging me for quite a while. Its usually my short term memory that fails me but just recently ive noticed my long term memory is getting worse. Its the ageing process so I suppose its only to be put up with.I can well remember many great nights round the Sheffield club scene in the sixties and seventies. By the club scene im referring to wmc,s.My lovely wife and I did the rounds following the top turns and we have many happy memories so thanks again Acman.

New Jersey were long after the 60s with an old friend Roger Harrison on Drums.

  4. You do realise that Christianity nicked a fair bit from the rituals and beliefs that came before it? There's one biggie you might have heard about for a start, Christians call it Christmas.

You mean celebrating the birth of Jesus.

Plus the Christian Bible also includes the old testament why shouldn't it?

  5. "The unit says: “All ethnicities were represented in the sample. However, a disproportionate number of offenders were reported as Asian.”

Of 52 groups where ethnicity data was provided, 26 (50 per cent) comprised all Asian offenders, 11 (21 per cent) were all white, 9 (17 per cent) groups had offenders from multiple ethnicities, 4 (8 per cent) were all black offenders and there were 2 (4 per cent) exclusively Arab groups.

Of the 306 offenders whose ethnicity was noted, 75 per cent were categorised as Asian, 17 per cent white, and the remaining 8 per cent black (5 per cent) or Arab (3 per cent).

By contrast, the seven “Type 2 groups” – paedophile rings rather than grooming gangs – “were reported as exclusively of white ethnicity”.

Ceop identified 144 victims of the Type 1 groups. Again, the data was incomplete. Gender was mentioned in 118 cases. All were female. Some 97 per cent of victims were white."

so what percentage of the UK population is either asian or arab.

Waits for a response from Mafya.

I'll get a flask and some sandwiches ready.

  6. Few hundred people. Not a crisis. We will not be overrun.

    3000 tried yesterday. that's 1095000 in a year.

Don't remember any political party putting it to the electorate of Sheffield in a manifesto that they wanted to establish a "City of Sanctuary".

Our city council never had a mandate to establish it.

Also, our council should not be engaged in funding (using our money) what is effectively political propaganda.

I don't recall being asked, nor do I recall being asked if I wanted such a multicultural society neither do I know anyone else being asked.

Waits for Halibut to play the race card.

Seizing the opportunity to upset tzijlstra... I agree!

I'll second, third and forth that.:hihi:

  8. First and foremost they're human beings.

So is the guy who shot the lion in Zimbabwe.

    ---------- Post added 29-07-2015 at 19:14 ----------

What makes you think they aren't?

Do you have any idea how many times the "Calais camp" has been bulldozed over the years and its occupants 'rounded up'?

So who feeds and shelters them?

    ---------- Post added 29-07-2015 at 19:15 ----------

    Who, brown people?

This topic is about illegal immigrants no matter what colour.

If you carry on with you racial insinuations I will report you to admin.

  9. The punishment for which crime? Being brown and trying to make a better life?

Stop trying to place the racist card, it is nothing to do with colour, I object to my taxes being used on them.

is entering a country not by proper channels not illegal then?

It would seem that according to Halibut that the only criminals are those who object to illegal immigrants and economic migrants.

The BBC “ A Home Office spokesman said an additional £7m funding

will pay for 1.2 miles of new fencing at the Eurotunnel site at Coquelles.”

It looks like our fault ….. otherwise why would UK have to pay for something in Europe?

    Seriously!

At that price it should be electric fencing.

A good case for the foreign aid budget. We spend a lot on foreign aid but we need to spend it more smartly.

How much do we give Nigeria, ant idea.

    ---------- Post added 29-07-2015 at 19:04 ----------

Being part of the EU makes no difference, these people are stuck in Calais because the UK does not have open borders. The country has done nowhere near enough though,.

Utter rubbish we owe these economic migrants nothing, plus the fact we've poured £Billions into their countries in overseas aid.

    ---------- Post added 29-07-2015 at 19:06 ----------

Great idea! Why don't you and your Mrs pop over there with a boat and sell rides at five hundred quid a pop?

That'd be chicken feed to the £thousands they've paid the traffickers.

    ---------- Post added 29-07-2015 at 19:07 ----------

This is the issue, the Brits only see the Channel tunnel issues now, how many do you think come across each day on small boats? It will be exceeding the Channel Tunnel encampment by a considerable margin.

    You seem very well informed?:suspect:

Put them on ships take them back to Africa, load them onto landing crafts and dump them on shore, any shore if they won't name their country of origin.

  10. Are you really asking asking why can't we invade France?

Well the illegals do it easy enough.

    ---------- Post added 29-07-2015 at 18:48 ----------

The punishment has to be harsh enough to make the risk outweigh any potential reward. British prisons are not a deterrent to these people, nor are refugee holding centres.

How many times? They are not refugees, they are economic migrants who've paid traffickers thousands.

I think another "draw" of the UK for the "illegals" that have massed on the outskirts of Calais is that they've heard or been told that britain is the.

How do they manage to live whilst at Calais?

  11. It is completely irrelevant whether you want them or not or asked them to come. There is a problem and saying: "We don't want the problem" is akin to either terrible management (which is common in the UK I'm afraid) or being a toddler. You can choose which of those two options best describes you.

In the meantime, let the grown-ups deal with it appropriately and stop encouraging your PM to behave like you.

I paid into the system all my working life but I am now told I'm a financial burden on the state, these false asylum seekers, false refugees, economic migrants should not be here. If it carries on they'll be the equivalent to a city the size of Sheffield, how irresponsible is that, will they be queuing at food banks will the heck as like.

Seem to have hit a raw nerve there didn't I.

  12. It depends on what level of court the decision has been made in, and if there is any further avenue for appeal from there.

They might not want to though, as the charities still have £400,000 to split between themselves anyway.

It looks like the woman was a nasty spiteful old hag, and in the eyes of the law has unlawfully cut her only child out.

Having seen this happen to close friends of mine I can agree with Judges.

My friends cared for the mother for some years after the death of the father, her son who was always the favourite rarely visited her.

A cousin who was brought as a brother was turned out by the father as he stole from them one time too many.

An Aunt and the mother's solicitor advised the mother to turn the flat over to my friend and his brother.

The mother became seriously ill and once again the care was down to my friends.

On the mother's 80th birthday once again it was left to my friends to do the catering and while this was going on the mother, brother and cousin were cooking up a plot to say the my friend had stolen a long playing record from the mother.

My friend was cut out of the mother's will and my brother even tried to get my friends share of the flat from him.

My friend took legal advice when the mother was finally taken into care just to get access to the flat as the locks had been changed, when he got access the flat was in a disgusting state that the brother had allowed his mother to live in.

When the mother had moved into the flat it had been completely refurbished.

Once again it was left to my friend and his wife to sort it out with the brother as usual absent.

So I can see where the judges were coming from.

  13. The greatest threat to Israel is Israel. All this hype about Iran is just that, media hype.

If Israel have so many Nukes why are they scared? Why would Iran launch just one (or a few) that they could possibly build as their country would be obliterated very quickly before much damage is done to Israel. Tactically it just does not add up.

Israel isn't scared of the Arabs they've whupped them enough times already.

The truth is that there are so many bonkers Arabs that they are capable of any stupid action.
