We would love to hear from anyone who would like to get involved in our club in a playing or volunteering capacity. Below is our joining message from our website, but if you have any queries please don't hesitate to to contact [email protected] JOINING MESSAGE We are a progressive and developing cricket club based next to Junction 35 of the M1 motorway in South Yorkshire, we were founded in 2014 following the merger of Thorpe Hesley CC (Est.1904) and High Green Village CC (Est. 1999). The club will have 4 Senior and 3 Junior teams ranging from U11's to U15's in 2015. The senior teams will complete in the South Yorkshire Senior League Div 3 & Div 4; the Sheffield Works Midweek League and 2015 will see the introduction of a development team who will play in the Barnsley and District Sunday Cricket League. All junior team play in the Ben Jessop Sheffield and District Junior League. The quality of our junior development (which includes ECB Level 1 and 2 qualified coaches) and our ethos of achieving high standards in a safe environment have been recognised via the award of ClubMark status by the ECB in 2014. The club is dedicated to developing the playing standards of all our cricketers and creating a culture where cricket is enjoyed. We are continuing to improve our facilities and in 2014 we were awarded the Yorkshire Cricket Board's Outstanding Services to Cricket Award for services to the NatWest Cricket Force event and during the course of 2014 we donated over £3,000 to local charities. We would like to ask all our members, both old and new, to contribute what you can in terms of time, commitment, support and coaching as we look to continue the club's development in 2015. If you are interested in joining our community-based club then please contact us through this website. Similarly, we are keen to promote local businesses; the location of our ground coupled with the our family-friendly reputation and the footfall at the car boot sales held at the ground has led to us engaging in numerous mutually beneficial advertising partnerships, if you are interested in finding out more then please contact us. For more information please email [email protected] or contact 07773075280, or call in at the ground on match days and one of our committee will gladly assist.
