Why do people keep referring to him as "the comedian Russell Brand". He is about as funny as a slow death. I personally would prefer it if he kept his political views to himself like most of us do. Or is he just seeking that one extra controversial pic on the inside pages of the Sun to kickstart his waning career?? Cynical. Me. Surely not!!

Agree with ecconoob. We are a democracy and promote freedom of speech but there sometimes has to be a limit and Sheffield last week I wonder what would happen if absolutely no one turned up to listen to or to protest to their vile rantings. Would they still rant along between themselves? Probably, but at least they would be costing the tax payer an arm and a leg and probably wouldn't get the publicity they seek from the tabloids!!

It's a bit like the conspiracy theories around the deaths of Presley, Marilyn Monroe etc. I have doubts that the technology to fire a manned space ship was available in the sixties. There are also suggestions that the human body could not have withstood the gforces at the speeds necessary to get there!!

Not quite sure what dutch is getting at?? Never heard of a town with a population of 600000. I agree though that it's too late to go down the route of an airport for Sheffield. Had their chance 15 to 20 years ago but greedy business men stopped all those plans!!

It's the people who jog into work and then sit at there desk and stink all day that get me down. I work in an office that has showers yet you'd be surprised at the number of joggers who refuse to use them, dirty ********

I think there is a lot of confusion between Robin Hood Airport (which is in Donny and nearly 20 miles away from Sheffied) and Sheffield Airport which has been closed for years. I agree though that Sheffield should have an airport and I think the catchment area justifies it.
