  1. err excuse me L00b, I poked a dig at you in post 59 which you seem to have ignored. I'm hoping you just missed it rather than decided to rise above it. Can you address this immediately please otherwise you waste peoples time. Thanks.
  2. Steady on, back in the day this would have been far simpler, you'd just ready the cannons, order a full on flanking with bayonet charge. Sadly you can't do stuff like that these days, bloody PC brigade. No doubt killjoy L00b had his meddling hands involved when that decision was made. So my advice today is, pay the £550. I've won awards for stating the obvious before but this could be some of my finest work.
  3. Did he say bore everyone with lots of waffle without coming up with the actual readies. Did he say that L00b.
  4. Jeez Louise, are you lot going to come up with the £550 big ones or are you just going to flap your gums and waste time?
  5. Doctors and Uni lecturers are ranked as the most desired tenants according to Trusted Tenants Digest.
  6. Renting only to those who are working and pass RGI checks removes nearly all the risks associated with BTL. The landlord gets paid no matter what and throughout the entire eviction process plus any damage costs if it comes to that. Very little if any loss of income for the landlord. If a working tenant loses his job, the landlord just serves him notice to vacate, then simply finds a new working tenant who will pass RGI again. Happy days. Or the landlord can take on high risk low income DSS tenants with no safeguard, have no RGI, ongoing hassles with the council and risk losing a fortune, even bankruptcy due to lost rent and damage. This is the era of generationS rent, working tenants who will pass RGI are now in abundance. Most landlords do have proper jobs and businesses, BTL just making up part of their investment strategy. Why not invest in property, they don't call it 'safe as houses' for nothing. Nobody owes anyone a living or a house. The first stake anybody should have in a country is the ownership of the roof over their head. If they haven't got that, they haven't got self respect. A landlord looks after the building, the asset, he doesn't look after the tenant.
  7. Why even consider a potential tenant who gets declined for RGI. Makes no sense when there are so many tenants who would get approved and are desperate to rent a decent property. Below makes interesting watching for the reality of letting to those on low income. http://www.channel5.com/shows/nightmare-tenants-slum-landlords/episodes
  8. it's very worrying. I've locked all the doors, put on a crash helmet and I'm hiding under the kitchen table.
  9. Living in a serviced building is a lifestyle choice. As you've chosen to live amongst others you don't get to dictate the cost of things or when repairs take place. You have a voice and an opinion, but that is all and it should only be expressed at the residents meeting. Usually a well managed building will be run by a management company. Once the accounts come in, this will show what the monthly service charge needs to be set at in order for the general bills and utilities to be paid for the next year, BUT ALSO so that a fund builds up for emergencies. If you stop paying your service charge, you can be repossessed, sued or kicked out. Get with the program, don't be a boat rocker, pay your fees or move. £50 is very cheap for a service charge. VERY cheap. VERY VERY CHEAP!
  10. Come on John, what did you do? You can tell us. You're open 24 hours a day 365? When did this start. Do all Sheffield casinos run these hours now or is just G? I'm impressed you never close.
  11. Well it does beg the question don't you think?
  12. They're fit enough to storm parliament but too disabled to work a non physical job.
  13. Sadly, judging from the recent episode at Alton towers, the price of these rides can be extremely high. And you want to get on rides erected quickly in a locaL park. I suggest caution.
  14. Such drama queens. Fergus is obviously just offloading low grade council stock to concentrate on nicer properties in better areas with much lower risk tenants. He can't be expected to provide council property forever, it's a troublesome highly regulated sector. He's getting older, wants an easier life. You wouldn't begrudge a pensioner a quiet retirement would you? Poor bloke's grafted all his life.
