  1. .... I worked at TCH from 1965 to 1968 in second hand sales prep, and remember being told by the Harrison's personal mechanical engineer (in the Harrisons hill climbing vehicle garage, just round the corner from the second hand sales prep shop ) how the 'old man Harrison won, not a Grand Prix but the Monte Carlo Rally in a Mk2 or Mk1 FORD ZODIAC...some achievement...
  2. Stumbled upon Casey Neistat some months ago and he inspired me to start vlogging ...at 68 years old... The Brit vlogger I follow is Alex, Marzbar .. a bit manic, but interesting. It's not cheap , vlogging, and requires a good deal of learning and cash to produce a quality video. I spend money I don't have, but I enjoy making the films...done nine so far... check 'em out on You tube at .. The name is ... steelcityman ... All you need to start is a phone with a decent camera ... but then you need to get a decent sound system, lights and some quality ideas for projects. Good luck if you try it.
  3. The Bridge Inn in Bridge Street near the Brewery and Bus station...I was 16 and worked at Hampshires, the printing firm on Penistone Rd. What with the stink of the printing ink/white spirit, a swift half went down very well before going home...happy days...
  4. I was on from late 70's to about 1987...started off as the 'Don Valley Gritt Gobbler' and later as 'Steamboat Willie'...from Winn Gardens. A couple of seasoned breakers around me were Cockney Rebel and Chilly Willy. Happy days on the old AM but FM screwed it all up really. Names that stick in my memory are Hot lips..Raven and Fozzy Bear...Red Rose...Hitman...Flying Banana ... the list is endless ... Ah! nostalgia...
  5. ...I left about April '63 too and remember Mr Belk very well, he used to play in goal for Lincoln City....Pupils I remember are Gwen Reese and Jennifer Rose ( I was so in love with both of them !!! or was it the hormones ??) ...Peter Gilbert, Norman Gill, David jenkins, Bill Hartley, sadly deceased now...oh the list goes on and on, not seen any of them since I left school...happy days indeed. ---------- Post added 13-05-2015 at 18:57 ---------- I used to knock around with big John Heathcoat, very asthmatic lad...was a pal of Tommy Martin too...and Jennifer Rose...be still my beating heart !!!
