  1. Was this around 51 to 55 as a couple of the names you mention seem familiar eg. Alan Denial/Alan Croker
  2. Is this update listed as 1903 ? I thought this this upgrade had been pulled because of these problems. I have 1TB external HDD and I never keep anything on the PC that is important. My Update is 18362 which I updated using Windows Update Assistant
  3. Thanks for that Ghozer, I've just opened it up and I'm amazed how accessible every thing is. Looks easy enough to install even for an old codger like me
  4. Are Wireless cards universal or do I need one from HP? if they are too expensive I won't bother as the dongle works OK. I only bought the HP to mess with because it was so cheap (bidded for) they are ex business machines.
  5. I have bought a Hp Compaq 4300 sff off eBay, this doesn't have internal WiFi so I'm using USB "dongle" at the moment which is OK, but is there anyone here who knows if I can fit a PCI card instead of the dongle?
  6. I bought a Lenovo Thinkcentre off eBay for £40 delivered from a guy/company that buys old business machines, No operating system, 160 HDD/2GB RAM. They are "SFF" such as doctors have. I've upgraded mine to 500 HDD/8GB RAM. They are easy to get into (no screws) I think mine is great, running Win 10. If you are close to S60 I could put you an OS on it. Ordered before 3pm for next day delivery.
  7. Try FILEHIPPO site, free apps. VLC is there to download for free with no adverts.
  8. Tony Blair started PFI, without being racist you can't have 1,000.000 extra people entering the country without putting a strain on the NHS/Housing/Schools. Also too many highly paid managers who are not doing their job properly. One example is Rotherham General where they took away the dropping off point for visitors/Outpatients to build an extension which just seems to house a coffee shop, must have cost thousands for something that just cause problems in ambulance waiting area. Sorry about the long post but I get tired of hearing about the "nasty party" when all governments whatever their politics have been the same. I must add I have had wonderful treatment from the NHS for the last 16 years for a Stroke/Broken hip/Shoulder/Epilepsy, both from RGH/Hallamshire and In Dorset Poole.
  9. Download Winaerotweaker, a free prog that lets you alter Win10 to your liking, such as restoring win 7 volume control/change fonts/icon spacing etc. I'm sure you can continue with Paint as opposed to Paint3D
  10. I think they might have joined the "SWANS" in the centre of Rotherham.
  11. Don't moan on here, get on to the Council/City Engineer/local Councillor for your ward. Shout and keep on shouting and get all the people that you know live in that area create a fuss. Don't give up, keep on creating a shout. I did this in Rotherham and got results. I also got a result from Sheffield Highways about the verges being overgrown on Parkway slip roads obscuring vision when crossing the road at the bottom of the one past Hansdworth. Sorry to be so longwinded.
  12. Margaret Hodge (Labour) one of the Oppenheims, Tony Blair worth 30 million (estimated) and owns half of London with Cherie. Hilary Benn, Tony Benns son. He hid his millions away. They are all as bad as one another, even Corbyn for all his man of the people look with his open neck shirt came from a wealthy family
  13. What is happening to "free speech" in this country when someone cannot comment about something that happened at work. Political correction gone mad.
  14. I don't suppose it helps but when the road I lived on was so bad I went round with a petition and got the local councillors involved and Head of Highways, it took 18 months but finally got it resurfaced (Rotherham area). The louder you shout the more you get heard. Keep at it and don't stop until you get something done.
