  1. Many thanks to all who responded and particularly Mr J Shaw for the links to pursue further.
  2. My GGG Grandfather, Thomas Heeley, was left some properties at the former Bloomsbury Place which subsequently became 129 to 141 Crookesmoor Rd (odd numbers only) and included The Bloomsbury Tavern at the junction with Union Street. These were left to him by a George Addy. Does anyone know who George Addy was? I notice there was /is an Addy Street next to Crookesmoor Road. Thanks for any info Mike Heeley Sorry , the junction was with Albion Street.
  3. Thanks Lazarus. Have now discovered this property and several others owned by my family. Were originally Bloomsbury Place but must have become the 130's Crookesmoor Road as Sheffield developped. Miss Heeley was great great aunt Fanny born 1863. Mike Heeley
  4. Am looking for information on Bloomsbury Place, Sheffield in 1840's and 1850's. My ancestor Thomas Heeley lived there and worked for Dixons Silversmiths at Cornish Place. Presume it was nearby? Any help as to location or nearby streets would be welcomed. Thanks:)
