  1. Lee Anderson...would not be out of place as Bernard Manning's support act.
  2. Truss opines that "brighter days lie ahead.". All down to her, really, after plunging our economy into darkness. Good riddance to bad rubbish.
  3. Good call. It's like sending for an arsonist for advice when your house is full of fire hazards. Captain Chaos would be the absolute death knell for the British economy.
  4. Seems like the Chancellor has now joined the "anti-growth alliance." Trussonomics trashed and she'll have gone by November.
  5. Maybe Truss should have walked on to D.Ream at the conference: "Things can only get better." Or maybe not. They'll get worse for her this week.
  6. Truss: "I want to be honest..." Yes, a good start. If only...
  7. Spot on. Robotic, repetitive. She and her Tory colleagues think the Orwellian Ministry of Truth patter will get her through. Gone by next week.
  8. Just seen the new chancellor has walked into 10 Downing St. That historic varnished timber will soon need to be changed to a revolving door.
  9. Wow!! Just over ten minutes at the podium. Hesitant, robotic responses to questions. Then...exit stage left. Gone by next week, I reckon.
  10. Just watching Rees-Mogg interviewed on Preston. He opines: "Judge governments by their fruits." Looking a bit barren...
  11. Just heard...RIP. An Owl, was always envious of the Colqhoun, Hemsley, Badger, etc. of early 70's. Oh yes, and TC (though we did have our own TC, Scottish version). Respect.
  12. Love how Calamity's walk-on song was pilloried by M People... refers to taking a "sip from the devil's cup".
  13. Truss's new mantra: "Growth, growth and growth." Happening already, with mortgage rates, inflation and social inequality growing apace. We've all had enough of this government's pithy, patronising three-word slogans.
  14. Over past twelve years we've had to endure Cameron/Clegg (comedy duo), May (ineffective), Johnson (utterly incompetent) and now Calamity Liz (arrogant, plus comedic, ineffective and incompetent.) Less a Thatcher clone, more an amalgam of her three predecessors. Lib Dems and Labour need to tighten the screw, and keep the pressure ratcheted up when Parliament returns, as they did with the Clown over partying during lockdown.
  15. Support for the greedy, not the needy. Kwarteng is Gordon Gecko in disguise.
  16. No...it was Toby twittering twaddle nonsense natter replaced by an audible, sensible voice.
  17. Almost fainted this morning when wife turned on Radio Sheffield...The presenter was actually lucid and articulate! Makes a change.
  18. The "system", institutions, and King Charles III (governed by "The Palace") would have garnered much more respect by saying, "Business as usual" and then closing stuff down for two days before/after HM is laid to rest. Two minutes' silence, applause before events would have been powerful; now...? The media mawkishness is beginning to erode Queen Elizabeth II's memory and legacy.
  19. Truss...very short, and definitely worst premiership. She is THICK.
  20. Good call. Will certainly be a shorter tenure.
  21. So Boris the clown is doing an Orwellian Ministry of Truth in publicising successes of his 'legacy'. The reality is, Brexit is NOT done, his bumbling and dithering cost thousands of lives during the pandemic, staffing in the NHS is in dire straits, schools are on their knees, he partied during lockdown then lied about it, acted unlawfully in trying to prorogue Parliament, he appointed nodding donkey sycophants rather than able ministers, ...etc. And today he's strutting around with new police recruits. Does he thing the 'Briddish peepoo' are gullible? Oops, hold on - yes, thousands are Daily Mail, Express, Sun readers for starters. A much worse PM than Cameron, and that's saying something.

  23. He has NOT Brexit done, in the way in which he lied it would benefit our country. Lockdown, PPE, telling the truth...big calls on which he failed, totally.
  24. Truss or Sunak. Whoever wins, we're guaranteed another PM who has a distant relationship with the truth. Both are saying the chaos at Dover is nothing to do with Brexit. Mmm...stamping passports?
