  1. Light bulbs, wipers, simple stuff is often changed at the shops. Bigger jobs at the Autocentres. Find the shops OK. Used autocentre once, everything about it was a bad experience, will never use again.
  2. Just don't disable your adblocker?
  3. I'm trying to identify a fragrance with a really woody scent. The best description I can give is like rotting wood. I know about OUD and have bought some OUD samples, but still haven't got quite what I'm looking for. I have noticed it on other people. Any ideas?
  4. Only just seen this reply. Yeah I grew up with Paul, Mark, Gary and Mick. I knew Jane too, but not like I knew the boys. Been out on the town with all of them, mostly Gary. I went on Gary's 21st with him to Turnups. I left for pastures new in 1989. If I'm near City road cematary, I pop over to Mark's grave for a few minutes to remember the past. I've looked for Gary's (who I believe also died a few years ago) grave but had no luck so far.
  5. I know this is an old thread, but very little info exists regarding the lido. I went for a walk last week trying to locate it. I went over the tram tracks towards Carrs, but took a right over that concrete bridge onto the waste land. Followed a path until I got to the gates (locked) to the old Cooks area. No option to go any further. The area is really overgrown and largely inaccessible. I did also walk along the path that goes under the same bridge, and there is a pond where the path meets the road. No sign of any structure though. Anyone have any more info?
  6. Have to question that mate. Edward VIII was almost certainly in collaboration with the Germans.
  7. Co-Op are very expensive and seem to pick locations where they can get away with it. I (regrettably) Moved from Yorkshire Bank (because their cust service was appalling) to Co-Op bank, which is almost as bad. 1 branch serving Sheffield.
  8. Most well known supermarkets charge around £1 for a single tin of tomatoes these days.
  9. Not My King either and thousands of others.
  10. Rightly or wrongly he's the king, and he chooses that donkey for his queen.
  11. 4 season tickets. Son, daughter, nephew and myself. Missed one home game all season. Don't do many aways.
  12. No he's not and never will be. Some of us have our own minds, you sad sycophant.
  13. For any sycophants not completely brainwashed, and might like to read some not so nice truths about their heroes. https://www.facebook.com/Down-with-the-Crown-125517584784531/ https://www.republic.org.uk/
  14. It's a moan to speak out against something you dislike intensely? Grow up.
  15. Nothing wrong with celebrating something work celebrating, the coronation isn't.
  16. Yeah but he is the current leader of the council, so voting for any of his party potentially gets you Terry Fox back. Agree on your second point.
  17. If there was someone inspirational, who you believed in, it might help. Terry Fox isn't that person.
  18. You surprise me. Hateful journalism. Wouldn't have associated you with that kind of thing.
  19. Never mentioned asking for a rebate. I appreciate services are provided to meet needs across the board. This huge amount of money is not providing a service, it is supporting a jolly and further promoting the brainwashing that royalty is right. Will the council provide funds to support Republic group protests against the monarchy on coronation day? Not holding my breath.
  20. You don't like libraries. How can you not like a library? You might not use it much, but not like? Libraries are there for you and everyone else if you need them. They offer services that some people may not be able to afford otherwise. The royal family offer nothing, whatever they do is done for themselves, always has been, always will be.
  21. Don't talk rubbish. That is nothing like a comparison. If people want to have street parties to show their undying support for another family, let them pay for it out of their own pocket.
  22. Wrong. That money could be put to much better use, than supporting a giant anachronistic pantomime.
  23. It will help to pay for this ****e. Sheffield City Council has approved the sum of £296,000 to be spent on events celebrating the forthcoming coronation of King Charles III. This includes an allocation of £5,000 to each of the 7 Local Area Committees across the city for local community celebrations. Information about applying for grants and other information (such as applying for road closures for street parties etc.) will be available on the city council website https://www.sheffield.gov.uk/.../south-east-local-area... alternatively you can call South East LAC on 0114 474 3646 or email on at SoutheastLAC@sheffield.gov.uk
