  1. So long Tony. Always found you very fair and balanced as a mod. I think that has been crucial to the success and growth of SF.
  2. In my humble opinion, Montreal is the best city to live in in Canada. It's a great city with a very lively culture. Only problems compared to Vancouver are that the weather gets a lot colder in the winter and not knowing French can severely limit your job options.
  3. What I don't understand is that there are images of Benazir Bhutto leaving the rally and then images of people running with fear after the incident but nothing on the incident itself. The cameras were obviously rolling all throughout. Now they appear to be cleaning up the scene of the crime rather than cordone it off to investigate. There is definitely something fishy going on here.
  4. I visited Bulgaria last month. The properties on offer there appeared to be a lot cheaper than what estate agents in the UK seem to have on offer. Perhaps they're making huge mark ups over here or there are a lot of scams going on. If you're serious about buying property there, I would strongly advise you to visit and above all, shop around!
  5. Try Sheffield Live! (sheffieldlive.org) They've been broadcasting on the internet for many years and recently got an FM license. They're currently situated within the Hallam Union building (fka NCPM).
  6. Actually Davina sounded a lot more sensible on QT than that freak at the other end of the stage Douglas Murray. Him and that other delusional pseudo-intellectual Melanie Phillips appear to get a bit too much air play on the BBC. They may as well start inviting neo-Nazis onto the QT panel.
  7. Try moonfruit.com. Very easy to set up and still allows you to be unique.
  8. I would be very happy to see an end to weapons manufacture altogether but I realise that that will never be practically possible. What may, however, be achievable in the very long term (by instituting and increasing the scope of these bans) is an end to private companies manufacturing and supplying arms and ammunition. So that only the armies themselves would be responsible for building, managing and securing their own arms.
  9. Anything that reduces the market size for guns is a good thing in my opinion, including banning 'legal' gun ownership or getting rid of 'sports' that involve guns. The smaller the market, the less profitable it would be for gun/ammunition manufacturers and suppliers to stay in business. So long as they stay in business 'illegal' guns will continue to end up in the wrong hands.
  10. I think the ultimate aim (of whoever is responsible) is to draw the dividing lines deeper between the average peace loving muslims and non-muslims rather than effect any sort of foreign policy change. Reading the comments of Artisan et al, it appears that this strategy is clearly working.
  11. Alternative domestic energy sources are becoming increasingly more attractive. If only they could be made cheaper. Perhaps these gas price increases will help tip the market in favour of those technologies. Instead of wasting unpredictable billlions on nuclear reactors and waste management, perhaps the government ought to be spending the tax revenues from our hard earned wages on further subsidies for these alternative technologies and insulation.
  12. Perhaps you and Mrs Heseltine can justify having one for practical reasons but do you believe that the majority of people you see driving around in these petrol monsters can? At least 9 out of 10 people I see on the roads in 4X4s (especially in London) don't really fit the 'Mrs Heseltine with 4X4 kids' model.
  13. Hi. Thanks. I've left a message on your answer phone.
