I've just bought a new house in Walkley and the survey report said they didn't know if there was any loft insulation because there is no access into the loft space from the converted attic bedroom. So it seems a priority to get small access hatches built into the ceiling and one of the walls of the attic I would've thought.
I'm not sure who I need to do this- I assume a carpenter or joiner. I was wondering if anyone had any good advice on this process, what to look for, tips on what to get done and most importantly recommendation of a good tradesman who could do this!
Any advice/help appreciated
p.s Any "why don't you try doing it yourself, it isn't that big a job" suggestions I'm sure are very logical and well intentioned but I am a total DIY novice and really wouldn't want to take the risk on this!
