  1. Trust me the bill will be big care homes for example £600 per week , carers bill around £50 per week prices vary from company to company sky's the limit.
  2. Now this could be just be me but didn't Corbyn announced this idea weeks before, anyone noticed their seems to be a lot of copying from the May camp going on?
  3. The old Belper Thornton's factory is set to be demolished soon used to be nice products but not anymore.
  4. The right to buy is nothing new but like you say they don't bring in policies like this without a reason.
  5. Ture , people don't read the small print and only hits when it effects them personally. Social care has been really hit hard by cut after cut I don't see a Tory government picking up a bill for someone's care remember property prices are much higher now than in the past so most will have to sell their homes smoke and mirrors comes to mind .
  6. When you look at the UK political system to me it's very dated and not fit for the 21st century needs. We have an unelected House of Lords that's straight out of days when lords of manor ruled the roost the House of Commons ok elected but still class driven. Do we need political parties now why not just have an elected independents for each area and dump this right and left politics instead have someone to forward the interests of that area?
  7. With all this talk of politics at present and people losing faith in parties of all colours and all the rest . What would happen if the turn out was so low no party could form a government or no one voted would we decided by who got the longest straw or have another election?
  8. Prices of metal go up and down all the time wasn't that long ago we had scrap men knocking on the door ' any scrap mate'?
  9. Sorry to hear this but you are far from alone. Get your appeal in now you only have a month from the date on your decision letter. Go to Citizen Advice if you need an helping hand we got an general election soon remember this assessment when voting. Good luck.
  10. I didn't think the Hare and Hounds would ever reopen the last time I saw it around 2014 the building was a right mess. Seeing though the boarding the inside was well and truly trashed at a guess housing will be on the cards.
  11. Ture I find some young people learn more to centre left in the UK perhaps having three main parties two of which are left based helps. In the US is just two parties - Republican or Democratic nothing in the middle some Americans wish their was.
  12. Clearly railway staff would disagree on your stand on guards hence the strikes they know if a accident did happen you would need someone to take control of the situation especially if the driver is unable to help or killed. To me it's about making more profit at the expense of safety. With regards to fares in my experience the fare structure is all over the place sometimes it was cheaper to travel further than too a near by town or city. If the railway is renationalised it could make fares fairer and encourage people to use the trains I keep hearing people moaning about British Rail how it was. It's time to give it another chance. When one railway company got into trouble it was nationalised it made a profit and was well run this proved it can work plus opportunities to create more employment and use the profits to fund things like the NHS for example or help to fund social care nationalising should not be seen has doom and gloom it can be a positive thing.
  13. The one hit wonder party with the Joker has leader UKIP served their purpose now on the political scrap heap. UKIP voters only bed fellow is naturally the Tories but all is too play for.
  14. You forgot mention we have the highest fairs in Europe even America is cheaper. Also some rail companies want to get rid of Guards who ensure passenger safety so they can make more money who cares if an accident happens and no one to help?
  15. I do hope so despite the constant let's rip down Corbyn media attention I do think he could do a Brexit deal he's got experience in negotiations which will be complex it's not going to be straightforward. At first Corbyn didn't impresse me partly down to the fact I knew little about him after meeting him in person that changed. Ideally I would like to meet May but it's not going to happen has everything is staged they would not like me their asking certain questions they would put her on the spot. When May was in the Home Office she changed her mind a lot one example was the Police using water cannons to break up crowds she was all for it but at the last minute changed her mind. Yes May appears on the surface a good PM but refuses to a TV debate if she was a strong leader what is she nervous about should be a walk over ? I think May is trying to be another so called ' Iron Lady' copying another PM is not a good idea it shows lack of confidence in themselves to be themselves and be judged by the electorate.
  16. It's not a clean cut subject some people become more conservative with age others stay with their long held beliefs. I agree 16 year olds can do more now but denied the vote if they were given the right I do think more would be interested in politics has they can part take in it why be interested in politics if you can't cast your vote?
  17. Only cowards attack theses who can't fight back. I knew a guy who had Aspergers had similar problems with people we don't seem to live in a fair or justice society anymore.
  18. I know this is a tricky one and I'm not saying that no older person supports Labour or the other way round it is not has simple has that. I read a Poll that shows the 18-25 age group are more likely to vote Labour but people over 70 more likely to vote Tory is their any truth in this? I know most younger voted remain over the EU while not all but most senior people voted leave is another example. Like IV said before we need to encourage young people to vote especially now more than ever it's their future at stake most young people's concerns are employment also housing a chance too have a good standard of life enjoyed by previous generations and give their children a fighting chance in life . Ideally we want young and old to come together has one not get divided by politics and lose sight on wants best . Stand together we are strong divided we fall.
  19. We would have never guessed these would be your favorites
  20. You are right the government hit the poorest which has the knock on effect like you have stated on the local economy . The area dies a slow death long established business close their doors forever and discount based business replace them .
  21. Scotland Street area, Neepsend, Attercliffe, Park Hill Flats to name a few.
  22. You could always offer him a spilff.
  23. Now May has turned into a workers friend by promising more rights I thought she was a Tory not a radical left winger is she ill?
  24. Leave poor old Diane Abbott alone at least she got a sence of humour unlike I will promise you anything in hope your daft enough to vote for me May.
