  1. There's loads of great reasons to come and see us, so if you are interested, call in and say hi. www.sheffieldboardgamers.com Sheffield Board Games Club - Home | Facebook
  2. Patriot Games in Town have regular card game nights. http://www.patriotgames.ltd.uk/store/go/about-us/
  3. Yep, if you are fairly outgoing just turn up and ask to play. If you are a bit more reserved then register on the forum and organise something there. The pub has a good selection of drinks and they do lovely food as well. If you can't make it Tuesdays they also play games every month at the Red Deer. First Sunday of the month (although maybe not next month as it falls on the 1st!?)
  4. I've got a good selection of old games, got a Jaguar N64 SNES and I also collect PS2 compilations to I've got Capcom, Midway, Taito collections and more. I've also got 2 full size arcade cabinets! If you're looking for retro games ALS Media in Hillsborough have a few, they also sell PS1 and PS2 games. You could also try Playtime on Pinstone street they have a collection of Gameboy, SNES, Megadrive and more.
  5. Try Patriot Games (now relocated to Union Street, Sheffield) or Sheffield Board Gamers. http://www.patriotgames.ltd.uk/store/ http://www.sheffieldboardgamers.com/
  6. I've been using it for my past couple of games. It's just so easy to use, but if I wanted to do a 3d game I'd probably pick another engine http://gamejolt.com/games/charge/25040
  7. That looks brilliant, might have to make a trip down there one weekend. I used to go in Lynx Leisure, it was round the corner from where I worked so I used to go in my dinner break and spend my dinner money! It would have been 1988 or 1989
  8. My new machine - Round Up 5, Mame'd of course! https://flic.kr/p/qYR6Ff https://flic.kr/p/qYLRwR https://flic.kr/p/qGnmQy https://flic.kr/p/q38ZPn https://flic.kr/p/qGnmTj
  9. Patriot Games in town run regular tournaments.
  10. I haven't played Avalon but I've played Resistance, really good game. Some of my friends don't really like it that much but I love it.
  11. It does look awesome, I'm trying not to watch any videos about it to avoid surprises but it's hard! Watched a video yesterday where they drove from one side of the city to the other.
  12. Check out Risk Legacy - its a campaign where you play a series Risk of games but the rules and scenarios change over time making it unique. It has sealed envelopes and compartments you open when you've played a set number of games.
  13. Pandemic definitely gets my vote. Me and my friends have had loads of fun with it. You're right about there being some great games around at the moment, if you're new to modern board games check this out
