  1. Search on eBay for glyphosate 360 5l and get the cheapest 5l tub around £24 I think it's the same stuff as roundup well it has the same glyphosate content anyway which is important part of any of the weeds you are spraying have waxy leaves just add some washing up liquid. It won't be any harm to pets once dry and doesn't stay in soil
  2. I'm currently a self employed gardener but as we all know not many customers want to see you during the winter months. So I was looking at options to gain some income in the winter, my thought are with doing rubbish removal jobs with my large pickup. I know I will need an upper tier waste carriers license but is there any other council based licenses I would need to permit me to do it? I use a good waste disposal site for my green waste but that's all they accept, does any body have a roundabout idea of the cost of disposing of general waste items and any good waste depots to deal with. I'm just gauging an Idea of costs involved and weather or not I could make it work, I know it's a hard market due to people undercutting and fly tipping. Thanks for any help offered
  3. Any weed killer that has 360glyphostae content will do the same job as round up only a lot are cheaper than round up
  4. Not sure if anyone will be interested or not,but have a lot of quite big branches that would be great to cut up into logs for a burner only cut down yesterday but would give you quite a stock pile to season. they are on my van now ready to be taken to the green waste site tommorow / Wednesday if you are quite local to s14 I could drop them off. ---------- Post added 05-05-2015 at 22:49 ---------- Still got some left have been cut up into smaller pieces now free to collector
  5. The best course of action is to just dig them out as you see them come up. You can use a systemic weed killer but this will only kill the weed that are currently in leaf and not stop other coming through, There is a residual type weed killer u can buy which will kill anything trying to grow up through the soil. This wouldn't be recommended as when u put grass seed down it would also kill this. Your best voice is keep pulling the out by hand or cover the area so weeds can't grow until u seed it, but the weeds will still grow after you have seeded.
  6. Hi I'm after some plants for a fairly newly established pond I currently have oxygenating plants and a water iris, I'm looking for anything non to invasive that will bring wildlife to the pond. I would prefer to get them from someone who is removing some from a pond as it will bring some life with it. If anyone is clearing some from a pond let me know please
  7. East Midlands saws are good base in sheaf bank business park s2
  8. All of the ones on eBay that end 360 are good to use. As that is the glyphosate content round up is a lot more money but still has same glyphosate content but has an adaptive that helps it stick to weeds. But if you add some washing up liquid to any of the others it does the trick
