  1. Sure we can train Carlos to thump his chest and you'll never know the difference. Seriously what's the difference, Carlos done well in terms of league position year on year, ok he's spent but it's all relative, those who finished above us spent more in the main. Playoffs is a different matter But hey, if wilder is the 2nd coming from beating scunny to promotion then so be it
  2. I'm not saying he will go (if an offer was made), Sunderland look to be in a mess, need to ship loads out and bring a lot in, that's all part of the package. I Think they're going in a different direction to United
  3. You won, the atmosphere improved, its not rocket science. And its not unique to United. If Wilder gets a good offer, he'll go, simple fact of football today
  4. Just because he thumps his chest and says he's 100% blade don't think for 1 minute he wouldn't be off if the offer was good. Whether that's Sunderland or anyone, everyone's a mercenary to some degree in football, none more so than our own ex watford striker
  5. Out of time, Denzel Washington, decent watch to be fair 7/10
  6. Erm I'm making comparisons to their form not who recruited them. Things change
  7. Social media doesn't represent the whole can base. Wednesday fans might be saying you'll go down out of hope, it'd be lovely if you did but I can't see you being in any trouble whatsoever. I'd expect you to push on, momentum and all that, mid table to top half
  8. Err thats a given surely. Carlos signed Rhodes as he thought he was worth 10m, not because he was valued at 10m.
  9. Has he ? Who ? As for Wednesday, again, we're only playing catch up. United got to the premier, wasted money, and dropped 2 divisions, before Wednesday had any money at all. And just had to spend £500k to get back a striker who they spent £3m on in the first place. It's a bit rich all the advice being given, grateful as we are for it
  10. Cheers. Because sacking mangers makes you stable. Some great logic here.
  11. We had 6 good years at it, welcome back..
  12. Do you want to put that on your grave stone, along with Alfreton 14?
  13. Whats he say ? Passion, great group, spirit etc ? (all the things people want to hear)
  14. Amazing what 1 season of winning football does, everyone's an expert, well placed to judge too having beaten Fleetwood and Scunthorpe to promotion
  15. No right or wrong answer. Newcastle spent Millions, Brighton not so much. Wednesday spent big, Huddersfield didn't. It's getting he right players in that's more important. For example signing 5 quality strikers (regardless of whether they've done the business this year) is surely wasting money that could have been spent elsewhere
  16. Fair point. Is Carlos right for us? I'd say keeping him adds a bit of stability. But he's got to change the style of play back to what it was in his first season, make the most of the 5 strikers we've got Otherwise it'll be curtains
  17. So if turns out he's not the best manager in all 4 divisions... Apart from the chest thumping and "pashun"
  18. "Liverpool type investment" I believe the quote was. Must have meant Tranmere. Over 2 years, £30m spent after 18 years of frees and journeymen, you could argue we're just playing catch up, after all you were spending 3m on Ched while we were still penniless. What was United's budget ? Did Wilder just do what he should ?
  19. If I had anywhere near that I'd be happy, anywhere in S12, Mosboro Village etc. Sadly it's a long way off and I'm stuck renting
  20. Not had it on since he's off air, he's entertaining and his replacements so far have been dire.
  21. I think people look at the price tag, but his goal record is 2nd to none.
  22. Its not a good thing if he has... Who says he has ? 10m is the going rate for top end players in the Championship, crazy as it sounds
