DOWNFALL, a Sheffield based band are playing live at the Cross Scythes on Derbyshire Lane, on Friday 12th December from 9pm onwards. Playing a mix of old and new rock and indie covers, they have been very popular with our customers at previous events and are back by popular demand. Entry is free, and there is a large car park to the rear of the building. Come along for a great night with great music - Good selection of Thornbridge beers available on the bar!

Players from the York Bar Billiards league have today travelled to Sheffield to try and reclaim their trophy, which the Sheffield teams won back in August. They will play games at several venues during the day, feel free to come along and watch and learn more about this great game. The timetable for the day is approximately as follows: Lennons pool n snooker, Chesterfield - 12.15pm Cross Scythes, Derbyshire Lane - 1.45pm Steelers Sports Bar, Mansfield Road - 3.30pm Gardeners Rest, Neepsend - 5pm Commercial, Station Road, Chapeltown - 6.15pm Come along and support the game!
