  1. But isn't it a case of if you can't strike a deal and walk away from any negotiations you return to the position you where in before. You certainly don't head down a route that makes you far worse off than your previous position.
  2. As I said in my earlier post this is a job interview and not a criminal case at court, so the standard is lower. So I'm interviewing a candidate and I become aware of multiple sexual accusations against that person, even though they are basically he said she said, add in the fact he's flat out lied in the interview. It's most likely I wouldn't be offering that person the job, when they are other candidates that are equally qualified for the role. After watching his performace at last Thursdays Senate Committee, for me Kav has failed the honesty and temperament test.
  3. Lets all remember this isn't a trial, its a job interview.
  4. Recently done my renewal online. You do have to post old passport off to passport office. I did my online application on a Friday morning, old passport posted off that same day, new passport arrived on the Wednesday.
  5. 16hrs I'd love to see the breakdown of that journey. Liverpool to Hull by train can be done in under 3hrs most of the day Monday to Friday. A little longer at weekends. Thoughts, well hard to say really without having more details available, where has JC got this 10 billion number from, plucked out of thin air?
  6. Armed teachers what could possibly go wrong. Only one solution, students need to be armed to protect themselves from teachers with guns.
  7. Couldn't agree more. The armed Deputy at the school certainly didn't do anything, so much for the talk about what you need is a good guy with a gun. I don't think giving a gun to the 5th grade Maths teacher and expecting them to suddenly turn into Bruce Willis and take out a AR-15 toting killer is the solution.
  8. Premier Inn currently have Central London rooms on sale for £39 for the date you require. They are prepay non refundable saver rates but at those prices I don't think you're going to find anything cheaper.
  9. The Pied Piper preaching to the converted.
  10. While I agree you can't expect them to have everything memorised, you would have thought that knowing full well he was most likely going to get asked for a figure that JC would have been a little better prepared and been able to roll the numbers off the tounge.
  11. Pretty much certain it has nothing to do with airport fees, Doncasters fees should be reasonable enough to attract airlines to fly into it. It's a bit of a myth that Doncaster runway is this super long runway, yes it's long but it's still under 10k feet. Both runways at Manchester are longer than Doncaster. Having had a look on Skyscanner for flights to LPA flying out 29/12 and returning 1 week later, there are no direct flights. Cheapest Skyscanner is showing is £1100. Outbound via Dublin and and return via Dusseldorf, thats a very odd routing with a mix of several airlines ( Aer Lingus, Air Berlin and Flybe ) and although Skyscanner isn't showing me the fare code, I'm going to say at £1100 along with that routing, it's booking you into full fare economy. Could also be a bit of a mix and match fare, clubbing together several one way fares due to the rather odd routing flying out bound with Aer Lingus and coming back with Air Berlin Manchester to LPA direct with Thomas Cook on the same dates is £157 return.
  12. What are the exact flight details ? £1500 does seem a hell of alot even for the new year period. I suspect this isn't a direct flight from Donny and is a mix of different airlines due to the lack of carriers operating from Donny.
  13. Enough hotels in Sheffield, are there ? Any figures to back up your statement.
  14. My only worry is that the council won't replace the library should that building get sold off and this will be a genuine concern shared by many. I have no problem with building been sold off, if a new built library in its place is 100% guaranteed. As for hotels with in the city centre, the choice is rather poor unless you're happy with the midscale ones we have. While I'm not sure there is a big enough market for a true 5* hotel, I'm sure there is one for something a bit more upscale than the Mercure, Novotel and Hilton.
  15. Totally agree with A & B. I'm going to add a C - Sheffield also needs a upscale hotel within the city centre. Ideally the sale of the central libaray building would give us C with the funds used from the sale to go towards building A & B.
