  1. Street Market on Castlegate selling (somewhat pricey) plants etc. Third Sunday of each month (e.g. today). Live music and tours of the Castlegate redevelopment site courtesy of Sheaf & Porter Rivers Trust too.
  2. I've twice gone to a rail station catering outlet to buy a cup of tea for homeless "gents" who were plaintively and beseechingly pestering other station users for "the price of a cup of tea". Both times (on presenting the said beverage to the said "gentleman") the tea was flung down at my feet accompanied by a load of foul-mouthed abuse ("I don't want a f*cking cup of tea I want your money". ) So they lied. Why ask for the price of a cup of tea if you actually want people to fund your alcoholism or drug addiction? Be honest and ask for a few quid to buy a your next tins of cheap ****e lager/cider or weed/spice whatever. Otherwise just F off and die (preferably sooner rather than later). Thanks to those two oxygen wasters I will never ever give to a scrounging beggar again.
  3. She'd be a great Home Secretary if the leftard civil service/legal system didn't blatantly set their stalls out to frustrate her every move to combat what (however the wokes dress it up) is illegal immigration. No documents (especially when deliberately destroyed prior to arrival) should mean no entry and immediate deportation.
  4. Office staff in those buildings (especially the Home Office) seem to be on semi-permanent fag-breaks. I live nearby and regularly litter-pick the path between the Flood Memorial and Lady's Bridge Weir and 99% of what I pick up is tab ends. Most smokers seem to think this is acceptable behaviour. I don't.
  5. Whose mummy almost certainly still 'wipes his bottom" after he's been poopoo. Ah bless
  6. Surely still a bloke until such time as all "junk" has been surgically removed.
  7. I'm not a Labour supporter but Paul's a lovely guy and has been a very good constituency MP. Less keen on his "sanctuary"/refugee etc etc stance though.
  8. An alternative lifestyle is great (and probably something we could all aspire to) but should not in any circumstances be subsidised by taxpayers. People will continue to "be unwelcoming" to traveller encampments whose residents leave litter (and poo - unless the council generously provide them with free porta-potties. Everone else has to pay water/sewerage bills. Why should we waste money on non-contributing persons?
  9. Why should Council Tax payers finance these? I, like everyone else, p*sses and sh*ts. I'm rightly responsible for paying the appropriate bills/water rates etc to remove said unpleasant emissions. 'Travellers' need to pay their own way to fund their (entirely reasonable provided not leeching off taxpapers) choice of lifestyle, Why should we pay for their sh*tters?
  10. He was on Fargate not long ago. No talent whatsoever- dire. Always have more time for the young ones - everyone has to start somewhere (and they're very often the most talented too).
  11. I've worked (on the management side) with some absolutely fantastic union reps. Far more sensible, realistic and pragmatic than virtually every management colleague at the time. Many of these union reps are still friends on Facebook etc. Respected Joe Gormley. Scargill on the other hand was unintelligent, deluded, deeply unpleasant and corrupt. Facilitated Maggie's rise to (and hold on) power - not the best legacy for a socialist.
  12. But can we be sure of how "well educated and accomplished" they are? Most lose/destroy their ID/Passports mid-channel (presumably including any proof of who they are and what academic qualifications they may (or more likely not) hold. Can you personally vouch for/guarantee these "well educated and accomplished" credentials? We spend fortunes on translation services for those who have chosen to move here because "their second language is English". More lies. Something doesn't add up
  13. Just like politicians from every other party. Part of the job specification.
  14. I'm out on the canal towpath and there's something still going on at 10:15 - sounds like it's coming from the Woodbourn Rd sort of area.
  15. I'm 64 and have never owned a car (or ever learned to drive). Most people may "need" to use cars - but not all people.
  16. Once it gets extended to private cars it will be presumably (and unfortunately) unenforceable due to the number of drivers who seem to be unable to keep every area of their vehicle clean except for the "caked in mud" numberplates (presumably to avoid detection by speed cameras).
  17. If I recall correctly he stated that the reason he was rarely seen in the HoC was that loud noises were issues with his autism ( I hate noisy pubs etc so can definitely sympathise to that extent). Yet at the very same time (as he was using this excuse) he was regularly seen in West Street Live (where loud noises are not exactly rare!). A charlatan, druggie, fraudster and crook - cheers Liebour.
  18. Nothing in the last 30 years then? Impressive.
  19. The boat people could certainly be accommodated in farm-workers caravans (cheaper than taxpayer funded hotels) and paid a wage for doing the much needed work involved. If we have to subsidise these people they may as well help out where cheap labour is required. They owe us rather than vice versa.
  20. I agree. Why do veggies/vegans try to make their non-meat food (attempt to) taste like meat? I had a "veggie sausage" once and it was vomit-inducing. Yet I could enjoy a "roast dinner without the meat". Roast spuds, all the veg and onion gravy would still be a great meal. So (again) why do these folk try to replicate the one thing that they seemingly hate?
  21. I'm reluctantly - as a natural 'Tory' (despite voting for Blair -twice) coming round to thinking that Keir has to be given a go to sort out the current malaise. Hope he's in good health though (and takes care crossing roads) as I'd 110% continue to vote Tory (or even Reform) if Rayner was leader.
  22. Still going off now. Culprits are well out of order. Please respect the midnight 'curfew'.
  23. All ok as long as they finish at midnight surely not a problem to the participants as Chinese NY was technically actually several hours ago anyway.
  24. I witness the first two trangressions on a very regular basis. Taxis also frequently turn left (as permitted) out of Nursery St then immediately sharp right (banned) into Blonk Street. Another very regular abuse is turning left out of Blonk St (signposted right only) then sharp right into Nursery St (rather than the 'official' route right onto Wicker, left onto Stanley St to reach Nursery St via Joiner St, Johnson St or Spitalfields).
