  1. Of the last decade, has to be The Mummy Returns or the Hulk with Eric Bana. Pretty much ridiculed across the whole internet if you have a look!
  2. Huge lover of soundtracks, takes up 90% of what I listen to. Best of recent years is 'Gravity' by far, particularly the track 'Shenzou' - such a rush of emotion listening to that brings me to tears every time.
  3. Bit late now but Barry Hines' 'Threads' was screened as part of Sensoria festival on the hill behind the train station. Great atmosphere seeing the cityscape in the film and all around us
  4. Had to study City of Gods at A-level for film studies, really love that film
  5. Hello, I'm a part of a small group of film-makers at Sheffield Hallam and we're making a short documentary (about 5-10mins) over the next couple of weeks about photographs - their ability to capture personal stories which you'll always remember. We're looking for people of any age or background in and around Sheffield to share their photo with us and tell their story behind it. Its a great opportunity to do something different and get a little nostalgic, maybe even getting your whole family involved. It doesn't matter if it was taken in your back garden or somewhere exotic, whether its happy or sad - its memorable to you for a reason, and we'd love to hear it! If you're interested or think you know someone who might be, or if you just want more information, send me a message and I'll get back to you as soon as I can. Ideally we'd like to talk to you first and then filming wouldn't take more than a few hours across the next few weeks - whenever is good for you. Cheers, Jake Richardson
  6. Hello, I'm the producer for a small group of film-makers at Sheffield Hallam university and we're looking to make a short documentary (5-10 minutes) over the next couple of months. I've been following the library closures since hearing about it in September and we're interested in using that as the subject for our documentary - talking with people passionate about keeping them a part of the community, meeting the volunteers now staffing them and also those who have been directly affected by the cuts. We're also wanting to explore and stress the importance of libraries and books to people of all ages, and hear stories of anyone with a personal connection to them. At the moment we're still in early planning stages but we are starting to get in contact with active groups. We are looking to speak to anyone in and around Sheffield with an opinion to share who would like to contribute. We'd only take a couple of hours of your time and can be flexible with whatever time suits you. Also, if anyone knows someone who might be interested could you share this message with them too - we'd greatly appreciate it. We're also available to come and talk about our ideas for the film first and answer any questions you might have, either via email or in person - my address is [email protected] Many thanks, Jake Richardson
