  1. If you're going for a professional solution then go with freedom and stay away from the minutemaker (it doesn't validate, and it doesn't appear to conform to accessibility standards). If you want a cheaper alternative, I can do you a website where you can change the content yourself, and find you a cheap, reliable host. (And it will conform to all w3c standards!) Cheers
  2. Hi mate, Have you tried doing a search on the Creative Commons site? http://creativecommons.org/find/ Thru' this you'll find this site, which sounds interesting: http://magnatune.com/ HTH
  3. Hi Kimon I'm not sure what version ours is, it's a red+black maclaren stroller (has a shoulder strap so you can carry it folded). But this developed problems about 6months ago where it wouldn't open. It just sticks sometimes or is really stiff when you try to unfold it. (It took me a good 10mins one night to try and get it to unfold!) Rather than take it back, we just got a m+p pulse which is much better. And the wheels are slightly bigger so make kerbs and cobbles that bit better for the little 'un. Oh, and the handles are more on my level - the maclarens handles seemed to be too low down for me. Cheers
  4. You didn't say what brand the discs were that you got? Poundland on the Moor (and probably MeadowHell) had some Mitsubishi's for a quid, they also had dvd+/-r in a spindle of 4 if you want to try some other brands?! (Mitsubishi discs are good IMO) Cheers
  5. Kristian Try loading FF in safe mode: D:\path-to-firefox\firefox.exe -safe-mode (It won't load any extensions at all, and I think it loads a default chrome as well!) Then you should be able to uninstall whichever extensions you want. HTH
  6. Hey mate, I don't have a standalone recorder, just one for the 'puter. But I do know that for the 'puter, all rw disks need formatting first before you can use them. So maybe this is the problem?
  7. Hi I haven't heard of anywhere that repairs tft's. But depending on how old it is, it might be worth contacting the manufacturer or wherever your brother bought it from? Cheers
  8. I just lurk now (member no. 255), the last post I made was in 2004! (Too much work, play, and other forums to lurk on!)
  9. Yeah, SHU was down until they got the generators working, then when we'd got power, we still couldn't do owt as the servers were still down!
  10. Didn't the Mango Tree get fire-bombed recently? (That's around that area)
  11. I would've said Woodhouse, but you've obviously looked! Have you tried Handsworth? (We've seen some for around 49k) I'm surprised someone suggested Dore - you'd prolly get a garage for that kind of money The only other places I can think of are council estates, most other areas seem to be upwards of 55k
  12. but haven't they been running at a loss for quite a while? (they got rid of a load of staff lastyear IIRC) I don't think any logic was used in the cable laying planning process! My Mum lives on City Road. The opposite side has cable, they don't!
  13. BBC1, Tuesday, 9.30 (after Life Of Grime which looks like it's about London this series) HTH
  14. Mike, I wouldn't hold your breath. We lived on the maisonettes on Washington Road for about 4 years. I phoned them every year and got the same reply along the lines of 'ring back in 6 months cos we're hoping to get it installed'. Wouldn't be so bad, but the road was done, just nor the maisonettes (they're obviously making so much money that they didn't need to supply a load of flats, which in turn would give them a nice healthy cashflow!)
  15. They show the ppl who get to sit in the back of the police car while they're waiting for a speeding ticket or whatever. But they just say what the person was convicted of when the crimes are a bit more serious. It's funny how area get meshed into one. Last week, there was a chase on Kilvington road and the police officer referred to it as the Manor when it's the Woodthorpe. They also keep calling Hyde Park, Park Hill. I watch it for the chases, and to see the areas they go to!
