  1. Friday kick-about 6pm Hi, we're looking for a couple of new players to join in our friendly football 6 a-side kick-about at Goodwin / U-Sport (the University pitches by Northumberland road) every Friday 6-7pm We are a mixed aged (years 13-50+) and ability (!) bunch who like to play, keep fit and have fun. If you're interested in joining in - please mail me Cheers, Paul
  2. Within my PhD, I have been able to model and map over 100 of Sheffield's areas by extracting postal references from the internet. Although the method has its weaknesses it is able to add insight on where places are - even those covering small areas like Page Hall. References to Page Hall extracted from postal references on the web are shown by green dots on the map below: http://i60.tinypic.com/2hn42g3.png
  3. If you let us know what format your input data is in (ie post an exmaple / small section), then I'm sure I could post up how you'd be able to edit it for use within the advanced Wordle edit: or PM me if you'd prefer
  4. you could always use the Data Lifeguard Diagnostic tool from WD website
  5. I use Wordle (combining it with python scripting and excel) to get exactly what I require. Never had a problem with it I've heard that Text is Beautiful (http://textisbeautiful.net/) is a good option too but have never used it myself
  6. When forwarded the mail will also include the ancillary details of the first message (sender, time sent etc) - thus padding out the original message. As they say - just include some text to go around the URL.
  7. Obelix - I always try and think of the reverse situation too. What would a bus driver or retailer do if they gave me change and I informed them that it was counterfeit, pocketed in, informing them that I was taking it to the police station and then demanded my 'proper' change in addition. I think I know what they'd do!
  8. out of general curiosity I often check the sender - it's usually a good identifier for scam mails. 9 out of 10 it won't match with what you'd expect (such as 'service@peypel' instead of paypal or even personal (ie hacked) email accounts) edit: just this second got one from paypal - sent from "someone's name"@mctel.fr Spot them a mile away!
  9. What evidence is there that the driver will hand it in? Thus, although it is not a legal requirement, it's good practice to issue a written receipt so that the matter can then be chased up with the authorities This said, I'm not convinced retailers etc have the right to hold onto it. They are not "passing it on" by returning it to you - as they never accepted it in the first place. At this point (if you were unaware it was fake) you haven't broken any laws but would do if you then tried to use it again.
  10. The Royal Mint advise you to hand such suspect coins in to the police (see link here) I doubt that the police would be interested but this advise means that I very much doubt that the bus driver can legally hang onto them (edit: in addition to demanding a new fare as well)
  11. Bigger problem than many think Of the estimated 1,500,000,000 (1.5 billion) £1 coins in circulation (according to the guardian in 2014) 3.03% are counterfeit (Royal mint) So that's 45,450,000 (45.45 million) fake ones in circulation!
  12. lol Nice! There aren't many beginning with an 'x' but I think Xin Xin Xiong is the most well known Grace Kelly
