  1. Well you all thought wrong. It's clear I'm not the only one with theses views. Which I think is a good thing, but not surprising. People are starting to get fed up with those who bring down society.
  2. So if I take out a mortgage and just pay back the purchase price, all is well in your world. You and the defaulters need to grow up, man up and learn how to live in the real world.
  3. Why not start your own football forum. Take you like 30 minutes. Then you can have all the banter you like and mod it yourself. That would be a good solution would it not?
  4. It doesn't help them, now they won't have access to the cash they need, maybe to buy food to eat. Never mind, maybe they'll be able to gain some nourishment from the meat of the hand they just bit!
  5. I like them, great business, great service. Over-regulating them into oblivion helps nobody.
  6. And the defaulters are clearly detached from their brains and the ability to take the most basic personal responsibility for themselves. It's quite simple, there's no helping some people until they learn the hard way. Lets not take away hard lessons by clearing the debts of bad eggs. If I default on my mortgage, the bank will take my property and literally put me on the street. I have absolutely no problem wish that. If I get repossessed, you won't hear me making excuses about high interest rates, the poor economy, them greedy bankers etc. NO, I will simply take it on the chin like a MAN and deal with it and come back stronger than ever. I expect nothing from anyone, I AM MAN, I AM AN ISLAND!
  7. I'll believe it when I actually experience it and not before. I certainly won't be holding my breath.
  8. Yes they should. It is a "payday" loan. This assumes they have a "payday", a job. Anyone with a job should be allowed access to a level of credit. £50-£1000 is affordable to anyone with a job. If you need to borrow a quick £100 because you are short this month, you should be allowed access to it. Wonga can't make personal judgement calls on how stupid people are and how much they will borrow over their own affordability on such a low level of debt. They make available a wonderful service which helps many thousands of people every month. We are all responsible for our own financial decisions and standing. Nobody else is at fault. Nobody can put you into debt. You have to agree to borrow it. You have to ask to borrow it. NO EXCUSES! It's a wonderful business model.
  9. Many times, always the same. We operate fixed fee conveyancing at £795.95 blah blah blah, please send over £250 on account. End bill. £1400+. But hey, what you gonna do! I just past the cost on where I can.
  10. This is conveyancing. Fixed fee indeed! What a lark.
  11. Wonga didn't put the defaulter into a permanent cycle of debt, they did it to themselves. They are grown adults, not 3 year olds.
  12. I don't think you understand what a pay day loan actually is and why people use them in the first place. They are the lender of last resort. What do you think is going to happen when the lender of last resort declines their loans? A bank is never going to lend to these people, are you crazy! These people can't get a mortgage, a credit card, a loan, a store card or any other type of credit, that's why they went to Wonga! Quite catchy that actually, "went to Wonga", could make a good slogan! Nothing is coming to them, well, not the founder of the company, he got out with £4,000,000, which I'm very happy about to be quite honest. I hate to see great entrepreneurs attacked for their genius, which is what he is. As for Wonga in general, they'll probably just introduce a nice fat admin fee to new applications or something. I would advise those in the not so nice areas of the city to make sure they at least get a burglar alarm fitted if they haven't already done so.
