  5. I like that plan, its pretty smooth Im a bit of a bumbling idiot at stuff like this an I end up making the person laugh an think Im jokin instead of getting my feelings across!
  6. I believe its next weekend, Im thinking of going with the little-un, has anyone been before and is it any good for small people?
  7. My little one gets cold sores what feels like ALL the time. She got the virus from some other dribbly child whilst at nursery (gosh kids are gross! There was 2 of them licking the gate whilst waiting to go in th other day ) They drive her mad, and in turn drive me mad. I got her some of that carmex stuff, its like a lip balm, hopefully might help prevent them?

  12. Shes actually about a good 10yrs older than me! And as its more difficult for her, I kind of dont push it, I let her come to me, and usually I get so embarrased that I look at the floor! It doesnt help ease the embarrasment that she holds eye contact with me the whole conversation! Shes very good at her job an even humiliation wouldnt make me scupper anything for her. Im not a meanie
  13. :hihi: Even if they were a hottie Im not sure Id let them lick my face!
  14. Thats what I thought, but I wasnt sure if it was just a friendly thing. Im a bit crap at reading signs!
  15. Is that so? Well, I kind of think it'd be worth makin an idiot of myself if it meant I could stop feeling like this. Ive tried to ignore it, I mean, Im an adult, I should be able to control my feelings! The worst that can happen is shes not interested and then I guess I never have to see her again anyway
  16. well, theres one more thing- shes my kids teacher, so it kind of makes things a bit weird! Though we're moving and going to a diff school. Now what do you reckon?!
  17. 7 months ago I met this woman, and had one of those moments were you say hello but hold each others gaze for what feels like forever, while these little butterflies skip about in my tummy Over time we have had snippets of conversation, a laugh here an there, and I get a few winks sometimes :-) And now shes the first thing I think about as soon as I open my eyes in the morning, and the last thing I think about at night. I know, its sad right? So should I tell her? !!!
  18. I work in mental health, and only today myself and a collegue were saying there should be better links and work done in schools. Even if to raise awareness and understanding so as to reduce stigma in society. As half of the problems for people with mental health difficulties is social isolation caused by stigma and prejudice.
  19. She has a SEN plan or whatever its proper name is, and has input from an early years inclusion worker who visits her at school. She doesnt have an official "diagnosis" as yet as Im told they wont give one until they are 7 @ the least
  20. My daughter is 5 and in another local school at the moment, but due to work location etc, Im looking to move her. She has special educational needs and has had some great support from her current school. The choices are between Westways and Lydgiate and I wondered if anyone had any info on what these are like?
  21. I live in S6 too so that'd be great Its funny because on the one hand he can be a little boisterous, but then he can be so timid too! He gets very edgy around other dogs in the park an he skirts on the edge of the field, if I dont get him on his lead he legs it. This morning a pup came over to him, she was a little boisterous, and Vince was quite scared but he was on his lead so I kept talking to him and giving him strokes. Anyway I told the woman he was a pup and timid, she didnt put her dog on the lead and struggled to call her away. I kept him on his lead until they were right at the other end of the field about to leave and Vince was looking calmer. I let him off and he was enjoying running about, until the other dog saw him and pelted the length of the field. Vince ran out into the road and off down the hill!! And the other dogs owner just could not call her back. Luckily he was waiting at the bottom of the road and I got him on his lead. I was so cross with the other dog's owner because I really feel she should of put her dog on a lead knowing that there was a timid dog around and that her dog could give chase like that. I just hope it doesnt set him back!
  22. I was in slow labour for about a week, but when it finally got going it was only 3 hours and straight forward! Good luck!
  23. I work in day services but for adult mental health, but we're all part of Sheffield Care Trust so you could check the website http://www.sct.nhs.uk or I could find out a bit more about the older adults day services and PM you?
