  1. Hi Rich. We have someone for this Saturday, but not sure whether they'll be able to fulfill the summer gigs. If it turns out they can't, I'll be sure to hit you up. Many thanx for the reply. โœŒ๏ธ๏ธ
  2. ..... just sit in your bedroom and dream.
  3. Boozers are full of open-mic wanna-bes playing to themselves for sweet FA. Next......
  4. So there are no young drummers (18-24) out there willing to learn 10 original songs from recordings, attend one rehearsal, play a headline Sheffield gig next week, The Isle Of Wight fest in June & Electric Fields fest in July ? UNBELIEVABLE!!! Bet if I was forming a poxy Arctic Monkeys tribute act, there'd be a queue 'round the block. #sad.
  5. Urgently seeking, skilled, confident and energetic stand-in drummer, for original, established, name Indie Rock band with a series of high profile dates over the next couple of months *the 1st being a headline Sheffield date: 13th April. . Live experience: รœber Quick learner: Reliable: Team player: 18-24ish: Good image & gear - all essential. Rehearsals in Sheffield: Transport to gigs, provided. Please DM with supporting YouTube footage etc. Thank you. *No more time wasters, please. Multi band players welcome.
  6. Good question, Steptoad. I'd go out and buy a double bass and learn to play it, if it were the latter. ๐Ÿ˜œ
  7. Sad when boozers shut their doors for the last time. Still plenty to go at in dronfield tho'. ---------- Post added 12-09-2014 at 13:27 ---------- *Dronfield.
  8. Hi Chris. Was looking at playing guitar myself, but will keep it in mind, and thanks. Thanks also for the PMs. Will reply as soon as. All of interest. Cheers:
  9. Hey Guys, Sorry for the late replies, been away for a couple of days. Out of the ordinary instruments are all very well, but they do need a rhythm section backbone. I have literally just walked in and have a couple of PMs to reply to also. If you could give me a couple of days & I'll get back to you ? Big Thanx for getting touch. ---------- Post added 04-09-2014 at 17:55 ----------[/ ---------- Post added 04-09-2014 at 17:57 ---------- Need 5 postings to PM ..... Damn !! ---------- Post added 04-09-2014 at 17:59 ---------- Need 5 postings to PM ..... Damn !!
  10. Jonni & Jooli, you are a Gentleman/Woman Both links are great examples. Many thanks, and all the best to you too.
  11. Hey. Does anyone out there playing a slightly 'out of the ordinary' instrument/s, fancy putting together a slightly 'out of the ordinary' co-operative ensemble, for love, money and creative fulfilment ? I'm just a 40 something bloke with a hundred years of experience, who sings lead & harmony, writes a bit, able squeeze the life out of most rhythm section instruments, loves swing, Tom Waits, real ale .... I don't have a firm idea of exactly where this journey would begin/end.... but here's a starting point..... Rob Heron's Teapad Orchestra (can't add links yet) .....discuss ? ---------- Post added 25-08-2014 at 19:13 ---------- ....Davina & The Vagabonds ... Or nothing like either.. Just not another band playing 'Sex On Fire ' covers ...!!
