  1. Hello knitters, I'm appealing for help - alongside the charity HARC (Homeless & Rootless at Christmas) I'm knitting & donating blankets & scarves to be given out at the kitchen they run for homeless and vulnerable people who have nowhere else to go on Christmas day. Would anybody be able to help out with some winter woollies?? I'm happy to come & collect and even have wool to spare to get you started. It's for a great cause and I've got a blog - theknittingbee[dot]blogspot[dot]co[dot]uk - where you can see how much I've been able to scrape together so far. Please, knitters of Sheffield, unite! What better time than Christmas to do a good deed and give the gift of warmth to those less fortunate than ourselves. Please get in touch if you feel you can help - I'd love to hear from you. email me at beetovey[at]hotmail[dot]com Thanks for reading!!
  2. Good morning all, my name's Bee, I live in Crookes & am new to Sheffield Forum. I've recently started a project called the Crookes Knitting Bee. The idea behind this project is to encourage people to donate time or wool to knitting blankets for those less fortunate than ourselves. I've teamed up with a local charity called Homeless & Rootless at Christmas and intend to donate all blankets in December. That gives us a good few months of knitting I was wondering if anyone had any ideas or suggestions for a venue in Crookes that would welcome groups of knitters on a Saturday or Sunday morning? I was thinking between 10am til midday. I've explained a bit more about the project on my blog (but I can't include a link because I'm a newbie) and am actively looking for people to join in. I just thought it would be best to get a venue sorted first Any help will be really super gratefully received
