  1. OSX Can read and write to FAT32/exFAT, it can only read from NTFS To install an OS on a mac, it should be whichever is correct for that specific version, and depending on the model of your Mac "Mac OS Extended" will generally not see you wrong, and will usually work without a problem, newer mac's and later OSX use a different system (APFS) which is more robust and dynamic, but if it's an "older" machine th en Extended will be fine
  2. Just depends on the software you wish to use, and what you are doing with it, i'd say both are as 'good' as each other...
  3. This is an old thread now, HitBox (as I referenced above) no longer exists, and while I do still (rarely) stream on Twitch, it's a hard slog to gain viewers/followers/subs etc... i'm on around 50 odd 'followers', I just need to get in the mentality of streaming regularly again to be partnered with Twitch, easier said than done at the moment though :)
  4. Thanks The_DADDY ;') - Already talked via DM and we figured it out, but I won't divulge details as it's not my place
  5. A birth certificate is just that, a certificate of birth, it cannot be changed later (only added-to, such as to add a parents name at a later date, or add a name correction/middle name etc) when adopted, I believe there would be a traceable record from the agency/orphanage/hospital etc that dealt with the case... a birth certificate wouldn't be changed... if the place no longer exists, and it was Sheffield, you may be able to find some info in the Sheffield Archives, you would have to pop down, or maybe have a look on their website, see if the info you're looking for maybe there... otherwise, Sheffield Library...
  6. If any of you actually knew me in real life (beyond possibly meeting briefly now and then) i'm sure i'd be an easy candidate
  7. You could potentially use it as a screen, and network hard drive (by setting up a shared folder) but "making the pair into a desktop" isn't really an option, it would literally either be a screen, or a network drive basically... Use as Screen: https://support.apple.com/en-gb/HT204592
  8. When I was younger, I did some Voluntary time down there, there was only one or two people who were actually 'paid' the rest was all done via school or college placements, volunteers etc.... what's happened to all that? and when was the last time they had an open day type thing? I haven't seen anything for a while.. (taking pandemic into consideration obviously) Also, do they still sell their milk and eggs etc?, I know they always used to...
  9. Other providers do, I know PlusNet block some (Though not as many as VM) - VM do seem to be the quickest to react to new URL's etc... Recently moved to Gbit FTTP with City Fiber, and nothing's blocked.... so far!
  10. Also, if it's categorised (as mine is) for 'unread' and 'everything else ' emails in separate sections, when you minimize one section, it automatically un-marks anything in that section...
  11. Best thing to do I think (and what I do) is if you have been selecting/deleting/moving emails etc, and things remain selected and confuses you, look for the little box to the top left corner just above the list of emails (directly left of the 'Archive'/'Spam'/'Delete' buttons) - if that has a ✓ or - then there is something selected, click it, until the box is empty, then you can be sure that nothing is selected...
  12. Modern devices support multiple charging standards, 5 Watt, 12 Watt, 15 Watt, 25 Watt and some more (usually laptops though) - check on your devices requirements... If the charger it's self only outputs a single (say, 5Watts) and the phone has fast Charge, that usually requires a 15w charger or better... Look at the charger, there should be multiple voltages options, 5v 1A = 1W, or 9v @ 1.67A = 15W etc.... The cable should also ideally be rated for the correct wattage also, - usually the 'old' style usb (USB-A type) are rated for a max of around 15Watt, while USB-C is rated for more, confusion can come when the cable has both, one on each end - these I wouldn't use past 15W either..
  13. well, for trouble shooting, I would have pulled it out of the case, and tested on an open-table.. I would have unplugged/removed everything, then with only the power supply and 1x RAM, reset CMOS and see what happens, lights? fan spin? quick burst of fan? nothing? power supply only? etc... Past there, would obviously depend on the first test, but following things such as - swapping the RAM for another module and trying ram(s) in other sockets - re-seating CPU, while also reapplying thermal paste and cleaning heatsink/fan - Cleaning RAM sockets/others (ISO/Compressed air) - trying another Power Supply (if possible, but a highly recommended one) - then looking into trying another board, then maybe CPU etc...
  14. Assume you checked the cable? Also, is it just blank/nothing at all, or do you get the initial text/POST screen, then blank when it gets to Windows?~ Have you tried a different display? have you ever used a Linux Live USB? - if yes, could you set one up on another computer and try that? ^ Otherwise, I might have to drag my ass up your way
  15. If you renew, and upgrade, they send a new HUB... if your current hub is still a 'current' version and in use, when you change/leave, they will ask for it back.. just like sky, if it's X years old and obsolete (as-in, they dont send them out anymore) then they wont be too bothered!
  16. Well, I can say for VM, they do currently ask for them back... I recently switched from VM to FTTP, they asked for the HUB back, they arranged a date and an engineer came to pick it up....
  17. We were always asked for them back... the ONLY time we were able to keep one, was when we moved from Sky+ to the whatever the newest thing was after that (it's been a while) - I think once the boxes become 'irrelevant' (as in, old tech) they aren't too bothered about them, but if they are 'current' effectively, then they care
  18. They dont need to send an engineer out to replace the hub, if they confirm it's faulty from their end, they can just send one out in the post... That's all they do now when you switch to them (providing you already have the connection coming into the property obviously) You also have to send the hub back to them when you leave.... They have done this for a while, since Sky+ was first introduced, every time we 'upgraded' they asked for the old box back, it's actually in the contract terms that you are 'renting' the equipment, and don't own it!
  19. I don't, mostly due to lack of space, but also what's the point if it's just me?
  20. Any alternatives? Done things like this before, found them no help...
  21. Of course they can, as can cats, cows, pigs, horses... Likely almost any animal you can think of
  22. You don't NEED the Smart Switch app, but it's there as an option, some people like to use it - I generally don't as it's more bloat imho.. Kies is not available for Mac either, seems to only be 'smart switch' https://www.samsung.com/levant/support/kies/
  23. obv didn't read thread, already stated they tried chrome.... and if the 'images are broken' another browser wouldn't have helped any ways....
  24. Smart Switch is for moving from one Samsung Phone to another, not for connecting to the computer etc... Samsung Kies was for that, but it's not deprecated and no longer used as Windows/Mac should be able to deal with the phone's any ways... if OP is still unable to get it working, i'd suggest trying a different phone on the computer, or, use the phone with a different computer - just to eliminate...
