  1. A lot of assumptions . Most employees bitch about their management and forget they’re employed to do a job and have a job description... and that their managers have a job description and are also managed.... Maybe the recruitment day is so they actually attract the right kind of people with the right attitude and mix of customer skills... maybe managers have managed people properly and weeded our the lazy , those with bad attitudes or those who take the **** with sickness
  2. One would think , if this is (and I don’t believe it is for one second) a union rep would see straight through this straight away and would refuse to even put it to members. Interesting yesterday to read that Unite were bragging yesterday of a £46 million strike fund which they are itching to use ....
  3. You’d expect a good union to be able to dispute this then .. if that’s not correct .
  4. Probably a driver ? ---------- Post added 03-07-2018 at 12:51 ---------- Greed based on a 4.4% offer
  5. Speculation at its finest. Bullying ? On what evidence? More likely they don’t like being properly managed for sickness and abscences etc ... with a touch of greed thrown in.
  6. You seriously think they’re underpaid ? Pmsl . ? Tell that to care workers wiping arses day in day out and would kill for a generous offer like whats been made or what they've had over the last few years. Is it the new law that people receive above inflation pay rises now ? I’d bite their hand off for what’s being offered over 2 years And strikes equal loss of takings which mean less money to fund pay rises
  7. You certainly know alot about the workings , salaries and staffing levels of supertram for someone who only got 1% last year Certainly not an ‘underpaid undervalued axe grinding’ driver ? ---------- Post added 22-06-2018 at 17:59 ---------- Without the revenue there would be no pay offer at all would there! Still. Waiting for someone to post what increases drivers and conductors have had over last 7 years while rest of us got 1% or pay freezes ...‼️
  8. 6% over 3 years for doing a more valuable job comparrd to nearly 5% over 2 years. What were your increases over last 5 years when nhs/public sector got 1%?
  9. Wow! They want more than NHS workers who save lives! And fail to mention the increases in previous years when everyone had pay freezes etc. Theyre paid well as it is. 26p per hour is a very decent pay rise . No sympathy for them
  10. Well it takes as long as it takes i guess..and lets be honest the tram WAS there before these places were built......you can't say you didn't notice
  11. There’s always somebody on here who posts whatever they like no matter how one sided, and with no measurable comparator #axegrinder
  12. How’s about you write a factual post showing accurate comparisons of how many buses and regional trains were cancelled, broke down or late You might have a shred of credibility then
  13. I’ll clear this up for you .... nope i’m not- I’m a regular 9-5er with an office job who commutes daily via Supertram Funnily enough I suspected you of being an ex Stagecoach employee with an axe to grind ---------- Post added 18-02-2018 at 20:26 ---------- Nicely edited from the original post
  14. One wonders when you’ll find something else to have a vendetta about
  15. Yawn don’t you tire of grinding the axe over this? Much more serious events taking place in the world
  16. Another assumption made (another day, another axe to grind) .. are you privy to conversations had between Stagecoach & PTE???
  17. But you're NOT the planner and presumably don't have access to information ,operational issues and passenger loadings that the actual planners use and therefore are just making continually negative assumptions and grinding that axe of yours. Customer satisfaction remains very high for the tram in the last results of customer surveys i recall.. though clearly not with yourself ( and tbf I doubt anything they did would please you)
  18. The city link trams are out and about in passenger service including on the purple route ‘Carelessly crashed’ jeez! You really do come across as to have some kind of personal axe to grind against Supertram and despite reasonable , rational responses on this thread just dismiss them and their authors in a very bigoted way.
  19. Someone comes across as embittered with an axe to grind
  20. I'm quite happy catching the SL and changing onto the tram - i'm not 'forced'..i much prefer the tram to the bus. Simple economics show that there's not enough people using the 57 to make it viable - the old adage- lose it or lose it. We were warned years ago about this when deregulation occured. I thought First ditched the contract years ago as it wasn't viable hence why Stagecoach took over.
  21. What frustrates me as a customer is the lack of information - please explain what is going on rather than hiding behind obtuse phrases such as ‘reduced tram availability’. Surely it would be better to open and tarsnparent. I think the phrase 'reduced tram availability' IS open & transparent and say's it quite succinctly... the service is reduced to trams not being available As a customer I don't really care for all the reasons behind it and an indepth explanation of every little detail..
  22. How arrogant of Sheffield and The Star..this is a station for South Yorkshire - NOT just Sheffield! Meadowhall is the perfect location. next to M1, a train stations with 100's of departures to local towns/cities, ample room to build a large car park and the tram station....easy access for all in South Yorkshire We should think our selves lucky it's coming to city at all as we usually get left out.I'm surprised Doncaster wasn't chosen SCC and business leaders often cite Meadowhall as the reason the city centre is on it's ass but hypocritically promote it as reason to come to Sheffield forgetting the vast amount of money and employment it brings into the Sheffield city region.
  23. or not...as was said all along by tram...temp til tram fixed..and 4 days later problem solved and back up and running.
  24. Are you real?? The 'incident' was an accident! It skidded. You know like a car, bus, lorry, bike ,train, plane and even a pedestrian can!! How on earth can that be Supertrams fault???? I'm sure tram management thought "hey it's quiet let's crash a tram into back of another tram so we can be a couple of trams short to run a service with" Where exactly do you expect them to magic up replacement trams from ?? Of course it's the customers that suffer as a knock on effect of the incident maybe your annoyance would be better aimed at RAIB as there website states they are investigating the ACCIDENT at Shalesmoor... Ask them why it's taking them so long to green light putting the tram back into service? Your post must surely win daftest comment of the year on Sheffield forum 2015 award
