It lets loose the monsters that reside in the "Id" of imaginary friends . Facebook friends are not real friends. Real friends require cultivating by being in the presence of real people (human contact). Making friends requires personal skills and personality: charm,intelligence,warmth ,honesty,humour, etc. Making real friends takes time. Socialising requires leaving your home and interacting with other people -mixing with fellow human beings.Getting out more and socialising contributes to a person's evolvement into a proper person. Staying indoors ,prattling to your imaginary friends, is not good for a person's mental health. So it goes. I'm off out to see some real friends . Ting-a-ling.

Don't go on it. It's a 21st Century portal to hell. People would be better off cultivating some real friends. Getting out more and developing the interpersonal skills necessary for genuine social interaction. Go out in the street and shake a person's hand -and see how long it takes to get arrested. After reviewing the pronouncements regarding the efficacy of Tammy Flu. One is led to the conclusion ,that there is much controversy in the world of medical "science". I'd like to know who commissioned and funded the "in depth" research. So every announcement regarding Tammy flu treatment ,prior to the "in depth study" is irrevocably : wrong , without foundation and flawed ? What wae flawed in the BMJ study ? What were the motives behind the conclusions made by the "denialists". The practice of science does not proceed a long the lines of ," truth will prevail". (See , Thomas Khun's , Structure of Scientific Revolutions" ). " Vaccinate early,vaccinate often". And if you feel depressed it's your vaccination . So it goes.

Similarly, I'm 66 yrs. I've had the proper flu 4 times. It's debilitating . Usually 2wks in bed and 2-3 wks converlessing . You ache in :every joint.fever and congestion , weight loss due to raging temperature (body goes into overdrive).hallucinations (because of fever) temporary loss of bowel control (although not in every case) coughing continuously -which exhaust's you and muscle weakness and pain. You know that it's not just a cold. Historical point. It's not unknown for some vaccines to caude serious side effects. And for some treatments to be next to useless (remember, Tammy Flu) NB. Tammy Flu might be spelt differently.

That would be far too even handed. Presumably the Council doesn't work on the commercial principle of ,"you get what you pay for ". We will pay the same even though -as you say- services are steadily cut back. So it goes.

Who on this thread has suggested that "thoughts" should be banned ? Thoughts are a cognitive process produced by the mind. Of course they cannot be banned. What people do and say has always had : social,cultural and political limits placed upon them (except may be in "pre-history " times). Now, maybe what a person "says" is not what they think (believe); or it might be what they think(believe). However, what is being prescribed against is not what they think-but what they say. So you see, it has never been about banning thoughts. It's about what can be said( without sanction ) and what can be done with impunity. Sorry to hear about it. My ex MOD Landrover Defender was stolen from outside my house last year. There appears to be an organised racket in nicking Landrovers in and around Sheffield. Afraid to say that the police don't appear to have any leads on- IMO - this organised crime. Congrats on getting it back. Don't ever let strangers drive your car.

Some one posted a thread about spiders. I cannot find the thread (In a rush). The Brown Recluse Spider is not supposed to be found in the UK. September (sometime through to Oct) is spider time. Carol Mowell (June 2015 ) was bitten by a BRS. The result was a very nasty wound in deed. NO intention of weirding people out. And I know some people would probably make a BRS butty out of it. However, it's a nasty little brute and should be steered clear of. So if the little beggars are stalkin your house;unless you can clearly identify the species, stay clear of them. The BRS is species Loxosceles (it doesn't have it tattooed on it back). I'm serious. You don't want to get bitten by the BRS. The thing isn't supposed to be in the UK. But Carrol Mowell got bitten by one. If there are any spider experts reading. Please tell ne how to identify it-from a distance.

Taxman gives a link that provides for a practical way to support refugees. A.C ,Grayling writing in his book ,"The Future of Moral Values " make a very simple point, "..... .We should help others when we recognise their need". (Chapter , Limits of Tolerance, p14). Grayling knows a thing or two about a thing or two ,when it comes to moral imperatives. So it goes.

I'm not saying that to be against immigration -de-facto- means you hate immigrants.-. I'm saying that some of the opinions expressed on immigration on this forum, can be construed as "hatred". Lets see what happens with this thread. I imagine the London demo will be quite large. I also speculate that the EDL and UKIP supporters, will organise a counter demo-probably on the same day. The Sheffield action may attract a UKIP ,EDL counter demo. I hope not. But, hey it's a free country -isn't it ?
